Ohio State Offseason 2012: In like a lion, out like a lamb.

Re: Ohio State Offseason 2012: In like a lion, out like a lamb.

The only thing we need is a significantly bigger fan base to make Miami's insignificate when they're here.

When Coach Oz puts a winning hockey team on the ice (next season or the season after, it won't be long), that won't be a problem!

Amen to that. When we had Michigan here right before the outdoor game we came within a hair of 10,000 attendance and we FAR outnumbered the Michigan fans! That's why I feel if we ever do get our own arena it needs to be large enough for when our program draw fans like that regularly we have seating for everybody, unlike dinky Cady in Oxford.

That's what I have always said ... build a new arena that holds 8,000 - 9,000, maybe even 10,000, not like some of these other new arenas that only hold 4,000 or 5,000. You don't want to see anyone get turned away for a big game like Michigan.

I will probably try to make the trips to Joe Louis. I have family up in that area. Unfortunately, they are Michigan fans (LOL), but I am sure they would put me up for a night so I wouldn't have to get a hotel room. I doubt if I would be able to make the tournaments in Minnesota.

Minnesota probably no go for myself & Mrs.Hockeybuckeye. Physically unable to make such a long drive. Detroit's doable for us and I hope the experience at the Joe is as enjoyable as it's been with the CCHA there. I also hope they partner with the Renaissance Center also as the official host hotel.

We have Coach Exter to thank for helping open up that pipeline to the developmental team.

Markell had a good number of players commit from the development team so that pipeline has been open for some time. Olson committed on 06/30/2011. Don't know what day Joe Exter was hired.

Exter was the goaltending coach for the developmental team prior to coming on here last season and had worked directly with the kid.

GOOD NEWS about the Goalie. Sounds like he can keep the pucks out of the net. Now we just need more players to step up & put the pucks in the opponets net more. " GO BUCKEYES GO. "

OT, but is anyone else enjoying the NHL Playoffs? I think they're the best playoffs in all of pro sports, and they're all playing for the greatest trophy in all of pro sports!

Second round not as violent as first round so it's getting boring.
Seriously though, I was disappointed the Panthers got knocked out as I enjoyed seeing Ohio State product Tyson Strachan out on the ice.
