Ohio State 22-23 Are we Better Than You Think?

Did not see this coming against Harvard! LOL, hope we saved some goals for the next game!

I thought they could win but man I never thought it would be like this. I wish I could have been there to see it in person. That was a clinic and took me back to the 7-2 win at Yost in January. They hadnt played a complete game like that since until today.

I sensed something akin to the NC football game with Oregon where nobody thought Ohio State could run with Oregon. After the first couple of series, you could almost feel the fight drain out of Oregon as they realized that those bigger, stronger Ohio State players could also match them step for step. Harvard and all that NHL talent was supposed to just skate around or through us. When they couldn't, you could sense the confidence drain from them. What a great game, and if Dobes can continue to ride a heater, who knows?

And with PSU hanging 8 on Tech's Hobey finalist goalie, how dominant is the B1G looking right now?

You guys are really good, but what really tilted the game was the pressure that your coach has dialed up. That game looked so much like the first Michigan OSU matchup at Yost, where we were embarrassed. And it took until the one game playoff to actually figure it out. Harvard has a lot of offense, just like we do, so the pressure just got to them early and often.

It will be interesting to see you play QU Sunday, since they are the #1 D team in the country. They may crumble under the forecheck system, too.

That game at Yost is the game I referenced back to as well. They hadnt played a complete game like that again until today. It will be interesting to watch the Dmen of Quinnipiac and see if they can handle the forecheck of Ohio State. Or will Quinnipiac control the pace and play with that defense

lol…..I meant….you’re like men amongst boys….I think your smallest player is 6’3”….230 L Bs….our little D men better move that puck quick coming out of the zone.

That was Harvard's plan. The problem came in finding out that our big guys could skate right along with them. Will we do it again tomorrow? Who knows. But after a season playing Michigan and Minnesota, the team was clearly not going to be intimidated by high NHL draft picks yesterday.

Try again:
QU 22.3
Cornell 22.2
OSU 22.7
I think the point is that this strange dude came to another team’s forum to complain about the very thing Quinnipiac themselves is known for.

Also, average age shows something, but not everything. Cornell has a high average age because its freshmen this year are older than normal and because it has a lot of fourth-year seniors. Quinnipiac’s average age is high because it has SEVEN fifth-year seniors. Well within the rules, but a temporary loophole due to COVID and something most of its competitors in the ECAC are forbidden from doing. And also a massive advantage over teams with less experience.

If they can keep playing at that level, they will be a tough out for anyone. Hope they can keep it going.
