If they hold true to what they did last time if a game 3 is needed they'll open the ticket windows next door in St.John Arena right after Saturday's game for ticket sales for Sunday's game.

Heard something new today. The Mason Cup's permanent home will be at Bowling Green. They are putting together a CCHA history exhibit as they are the only school to be a continuous member of the CCHA from beginning to end.

Season ticket holder already have them, at least you should...

I do, I was just commenting for those who aren't season ticket holders. I was just told by my ticket rep at OSU that there's still probably 40 or 50 tickets left. So sad! They SHOULD have sold out in minutes so what's the excuse?

Ice rink refreshers to keep in mind. Low ceiling as we all know-so those high puck clears frequently hit the ceiling resulting in a face off. I am unsure if it still this way but the net was very loose last time, would come off its moorings with the slightest touch. St John (I assume) will be open like in the past for your concession and bathroom needs. Keep your ticket as you may need to show to get back in since this one of the few sporting events where you can come and go from the building. The old barn can get real LOUD! Lets make this a true home ice advantage and let the boys hear it. I saw a picture earlier on twitter looks like some temp bleachers may be in place.

I am unsure if it still this way but the net was very loose last time, would come off its moorings with the slightest touch.

I've played many games of hockey there over the years and I can answer why the nets are that way. In the Schott and most arenas there are rubber pegs that go into the holes drilled into the ice that extend up into the posts of the nets. However the ice can't be drilled like that in the old rink and they use the OLD way of net retention by the way of a pair of metal spikes. They look like mushrooms except instead of round heads they're pointed and their shafts go up into the posts like the rubber pegs but the heads sit in shallow depressions chipped into the ice so they dislodge VERY easily.

Bucks lose 1st game 4-2.

Ugly effort. They come out cocky & lack of hustle. Looking at the lineup it looks like Coach OZ is trying to see what he has for players in the next year or two. Playing alot of Freshman & sophmores.
That will ONLY help him for the next year or two , but he has just POOPED on this year all season & has cost the Bucks some wins. Maybe I should say he has been out COACHED in alot of the games this year. Now the pressure is on to win two games straight. FSU comes into the Bucks practice rink & takes the 1st game.

Ferris has an excuse. They are a 3rd rate school in a piece of crap state.
The flagship school in my home state has ZERO excuse for ever playing in that hole...let alone a conference playoff series.

Bad defensive miscues led to the Ferris goals. I question that tripping call for our first penalty though. DaSilva badly telegraphed the pass that got intercepted for the first goal. Taking a lot of shots from the angles again and nobody hustling us fast enough to be on the open side of the net for the MANY rebounds for easy goals. GOT TO TAKE IT TO THE NET WITH NUMBERS! I lost count of how many times the guys would shoot from the blue line bouncing the puck off a Ferris player's shinguards right in front of them for a rush up ice by said Ferris player. Got to play smarter than that guys!
Well your whole season rides on tomorrows game, hope there's enough of a sense of urgency to light the proverbal fire under them!

What an awful display of hockey tonight by the buckeyes. Tonight reminded me of game 2 up at Ferris the Buckeyes just could not hold onto the puck all night long. Way to many passes to no one or when they did pass it to a teammate it was off just enough and Ferris came back the other way. they really only played desperate hockey for about 3 or 4 minutes in and that came in the 2nd period which resulted in 2 goals and a lead. How many times tonight did they just flat out fall? I really thought this would be a 3 game series from the time it was for sure they would be playing each other. I still think this will be a 3 game series and Ohio state will win tomorrow night.

I'm in agreement with THE OHIO STATE. It was a subpar effort from our team. I don't want to take anything away from Ferris State because they were obviously the better team tonight, but I didn't see any urgency from our guys at all. And as was alluded to, we are still taking stupid, undisciplined penalties (this late in the season). If we play like that tomorrow, it will be an early exit in the tournament. Ferris seemed to win the board battles tonight and also got to the loose pucks. I lost count of how many times we turned the puck over in our own zone or in the neutral zone. Folks sitting near me used the bad ice surface as an excuse for some bad bounces of the puck, but that did not appear to have an adverse effect on Ferris State. It's really not a viable excuse for our team in any case since they practice there on a regular basis. Coach Oz even said something earlier regarding the OSU Ice Rink being more of a home ice for our guys than the Schott, probably since we spend a lot of time practicing there. Hopefully we see more of a sense of urgency out of our team tomorrow. @Freddie, as usual our guys get kicked out of their own building for the playoffs due to OHSAA State Girls Basketball. In other years, it's been wrestling. I don't completely understand why they couldn't hold girls basketball in St. John Arena as I doubt if girls basketball draws 13,000 and change. It's just one more reason most of us here have been screaming for a hockey-only facility for our programs. It's a sore subject around here, to say the least. Thankfully, this will be the last season of that. All six Big Ten teams will be in the postseason tournaments, and all games will be held at the chosen sites. There won't any further playoff games at campus sites, so it will no longer be an issue.
