What gets me is that some of the players are still taking stupid penalties in the playoffs. The team needs to keep there composure. Krogh & Crane know better as older players to not hit another player in the back when you see the jersey number.

McCormack takes a stupid one right after the faceoff because he got beat and slashes the players ankle. It might of cost the team the game on that one. Angeli takes a head case stupid penalty for unsportsman!!! Fritz took a tripping one & it looked to me that was more of a hard working one were he's digging for the puck & a player trips. I call that a HARD WORKING penalty because it wasn't stupid and all teams get them.

I see a team as 50/50. The team needs to play smart and try hard to stay out of the penalty box , and the Coach needs to point the players in the right direction for the win. Make adjustments during the game. A good example of this was when the Bucks played Michigan about two weekends ago. I watched both games & both games were the same loss. Coach OZ didn't change a thing in either game. He just let the players play. That weekend goalie Hjellie had no help in front of him as we got sweept. The forwards were not backchecking hard & the D-Men were lacking any effort to clear the puck in front of the net. The play this year has been UP & DOWN. I don't see a big change in next year either. I hope the AD only gave Coach OZ a 5 year contract & learned from the old Coach Markell deal.

The team that stays out of the penaly box is 99% the winner in most games. This adjustment needs to come from the Head Coaches of a team & send the message early in the season that stupid penalties will not be. GO BUCKS GO. :)

Part of the story is that Ferris got under our skin. The Bulldogs weren't dirty, but they were one the chippiest teams we've seen this year. I'll let others decide if that's good playoff hockey or just cheap tactics. But either way, the Buckeyes are going to have to deal with it better if we're going to be successful.

I agree PGB, and if you want the biggest payback against Ferris don't do the retaliation and risk a penalty, just win the game!

Well said by both of you guys. That's my point also.

I remember playing as a youth & we would be whinning about how bad the reffs & the other team was so cheap. I still remember to this day the Coach saying " Then go out & put the puck in the net to beat the team & the reffs. " LOL.

SATURDAY NIGHT GAME #2.


It's starting out just like the Friday night game. Angeili takes a stupid HOLDING penalty & FSU scores on the power play. A holding penalty is normally due to a slower skater trying to clutch & grab the other player to slow them down. " SAME OLD , SAME OLD. " LOL. Go Bucks Go. :D

The Bucks come back with a powerplay goal to tie it up in the 1st period. Maybe this game will come down to who stays out of the penalty box WINS the game. Looks like both teams are showing a good powerplay so far.

Can you imagine the huge egg on the face of the CCHA it will be if 3/4 of the teams at JLA next weekend are B1G teams? That'd be hilarious.

I'm so proud of my guys for getting it done and shutting those annoying western *****s up once and for all.

See you in Detroit (maybe ;) ).

Well the boys gutted it out tonight and it all come down to Sunday night. It was pretty tense in the old barn tonight can't imagine what tomorrow will bring, let's go bucks!!

I thought we did much better on getting to the net and generate scoring chances. We would have buried them if we had connected on the passes to the open side of the net. We whiffed on a few!
Tempers were hot again tonight and we absolutely have to keep out of the penalty box at all costs! I'll have to be certain to take my blood pressure medicine before the game! lol! Piowtrowski was there tonight too, thank God he wasn't on the ice officiating killing us like he used to!

Nice job by the Bucks tonight. Good call Klbaum on the win! Cannot wait to get to the OSU Ice Rink tomorrow!!

Tonight was a full 60 minutes of Buckeye hockey. Just like we played on Friday night down at the Goggin a few weeks ago. Refs were again ineffective. Our defense showed up tonight.

Does anyone know if Chris Crane's penalty from Friday night was changed to a game disqualification as to why he was not dressed tonight?

And WHY does OSU give Ferris State a section at center ice? Why can't our fans get fired up as much or better than theirs? It seems half of our fans are on oxygen and haven't been to a game all season.

Let's go BUCKS! It's Sunday, win or die!

Crane was out because it was his 3rd game misconduct which is a 1 game susp.

It's not really OSU giving fs a section, it's mandated since its a playoff series. A worker advised the CCHA states the visiting section is to be across from their team bench.

Much better toinght on all aspects of the game. Game 3's usually come down to who ever makes the least amount of mistakes and who wins the special teams battle. The last time they played a game 3 in the Ice rink was 07 against Northern and that game came down to 2 mistakes on theh PP which led to 2 SHG's and Northern won 3-2.

I don't care if the CCHA mandated something about across the bench. The fact of the matter is half of the OSU fans are on oxygen and haven't been to a game all season. Our barn needs to be rowdy and intimidating. We don't need to accommodate Ferris State. This is OUR house and we need to act accordingly. Our team did tonite and the fans need to as well. I need a lozenge, so hourse from yelling at at Wilkins. Join in people or this season will be over in a few short hours.

I agree Klbaum on the least amount of mistakes, and cooler heads must prevail and play smart hockey. We know we can take them and proved that tonight so maintaining that focus and any momentum into tomorrow should carry us on to Detroit.

Apparently they changed the routine for buying game 3 tickets since the last time we hosted but now that I think about it that was before OSU contracted with Ticketmaster. Tickets went on sale with Ticketmaster a half hour after last nights game.

Yea last time against northern the box office opened up right after the overtime in game 2 ended.

Heads up that after the beer, corned beef and cabbage I advise that nobody should sit by me tonight. Maybe I should share the ambiance by sitting in the middle of the Ferris fan section. LOL!
