They have locker rooms at the Schott. Not sure why they would be traveling in gear from the ice rink to the Schott?:confused:

Calling all BUCKEYE fans. Let's see what were made of this weekend and cheer on the Bucks VS. the Red Hawks. I see that Miami is still doing good this year , but there not at the top. This will be a great weekend to see were we stand as we head into the second half. The Bucks are coming off some good wins before Christmas break and after. " GO BUCKS GO. "

Yeah, I was just on the Miami thread and they're already talking s*** about sweeping and calling us OhNO or OhSU. They're basically downplaying or ignoring the improvement we have made this season. I'd love to sweep, but I'll take a split with them. I saw them play BG earlier this season and they're obviously very skilled.

Yeah the Miami fans are becoming more obnoxious than Michigan fans and would love to see us sweep to see them taken down a couple of notches like the Canadians last night after Russia's big come from behind win. I remember so clearly the game against them the weekend at the Super Six the year we won the cup. We went into overtime against them and we won the faceoff and JB got the outlet pass and took it straight to the goalie and scores immediately and I don't think 12 seconds had come off the clock. Absolute stunned silence from the section where all the Miami fans were sitting, you could have heard a pin drop!

Hey 86! I think that's a bit of an exaggeration. Other than a couple posts by one particular poster, which were pretty benign anyway, not sure where you're seeing us downplaying or ignoring the team's improvement. If anything, I think most Miami fans recognize that improvement and are excited about it (at least I am)! I want OSU hockey to get better because that pushes Miami hockey to get better and certainly makes for a more entertaining rivalry.

As for obnoxious fans: at least we at Miami still know that Michigan fans are the worst ;)

Here's to two great games this weekend, though I wish we still had another regular season series to which we coud look forward.

I agree it should be an exciting series and for my part what jabs we make should be considered good natured ribbing in anticipation of what's become a pretty good rivalry.

They can't compete with us in anything--academic or athletic; admissions or research; faculty or fundraising--except hockey, so it's no surprise that they pour all their resentment and loathing of big brother into the hockey rivalry that most Ohio State students and alums don't even acknowledge.

There are plans and architectural drawings for a six or seven thousand seat hockey arena. The question is funding. Only way I see it getting done is if Gene Smith makes it a priority item for the athletic department's share ( which is going to be around 5%) of the 2.5 billion dollar fundraising campaign that's now in its quiet phase.

Yeah just meant those as jokes, didn't think any offense would be taken. You guys definitely got a good hire in Osiecki with LOTS of recruits coming in next year fresh for his system too. Definitely disappointed that 1) we only have 2 games this year, and 2) somehow they didn't have the foresight to make this series home/home.

I agree with both of your disappointments. This is a rivarly and should be playing 4 games or atleast home and home.

If the university would drop Gene Smith's salary down to where it should be, no more than 200 grand or so a year the money saved would pay off a new arena in a couple of years! After all between his and his wife's salarys at OSU were paying out around a MILLION AND A QUARTER a year! I'm sorry but no AD is worth that much and frankly I don't think ANYBODY working for a public university should have a paycheck bigger than the Governor of the entire state of Ohio!

Snow is starting to get bad on the roads, hope everybody gets there safely and on time. There's two kinds of people who can drive with snow on the roads, those that can and those that can't, and those of us that can are certainly the minority out there!

I don't think anyone would say we're down. We lost some but returned pretty much the entire team. Along with the two leading scorers in the nation. We've played some good clubs first half and have a pretty good record to show for it. Just wait til the next group of recruits hit oxford. You think we have firepower now, just wait...
