Shot in the dark here, but has anyone ever played SuperTux? There's a few levels I can't seem to beat.

MLB10: The Show loses more points for realism...I played a game at Yankee Stadium and there were actually fans in the first few rows... :confused: :p

I do detest the attendance portion of the game. The royals have no problem packing the stadium when the twins are in town in real life. The place is an echo chamber whenever I play there in the game.

Nier wasn't on my radar until I saw a hands on demo on G4. It looks pretty good and is made by Square Enix. They are calling it an Action-RPG.

3D Dot Heroes also looks amazing.

NO. Not this time, Namco. I remember what Katamari Damacy did to me for about three straight months. Now you have Beautiful Katamari up on XBL On Demand. I refuse to go through this again...

Incidentally, how on earth did that game get so hard? It took me five tries to score an 80 on the "playtime" level. Out of 100. With a "secret" rating of 120 possible.

I have Beautiful Katamari on disc. The only downside is they forced you to buy DLC to be able to beat the game. I wonder if on-demand requires the same thing.

Although for PS3 they totally redeemed themselves with Katamari Forever. That game is amazing.

I bought a gun thingie for the Wii to play a 1st person shooter (WW II themed, can't remember the name now) and I hate the thing. There is only one controller setting for the gun, and the only way to walk is by pointing the gun in the direction you want to go, making it virtually impossible to strafe and look in a different direction at the same time (as far as I could tell), and navigating is nearly impossible. I only played it once so maybe I just haven't figure it out, or maybe I should try one of the controller & nunchuk settings instead and it will be easier, but since I bought it a month ago I've been playing Tiger Woods instead. :p

Your first mistake was trying to play a shooter on Wii (thats not Link Archery).

I have this strange desire to play SimCity. Since it's been about 15 years since I played SimCity 2000, I have to assume that there's been more recent versions of the game - does the newest remain true enough to 2000? Any other comments / advice on selecting a version?

Societies is completely different, and blows terribly.

Sim City 4 is the most recent traditional game. There may also be expansion packs.

Who was I talking to about Pokemon in the last thread...JF?

Anyway, the next thing I have to do is beat the dragon gym...but I'm working on leveling up my Swinub until it evolves into Piloswine. That should give me a much better chance. :)

Also, drop the hitting down to rookie and turn up the contact/power numbers for you on the sliders options. It's kinda cheating but that game has an incredibly steep learning curve.

I sucked horribly at it and have been backing off the contact and power slider options as I get better.

The other things I would highly recommend are going to classic baserunning (the new style is awful), taking BP before every game trying to spray the hits throughout the field working your way across (I watch the twins do this exact same thing when they take BP), and making sure the fielder view for throwing buttons is on.

Edit: My buddy suggested another tip when I was struggling. When you first start out, always guess fastball, if it is a fastball take a swing if it looks good. If it's not, let it go until you can start to read the pitches better. If you find yourself down in the count protect the plate.

I'm in my second year in AA and I have now been traded 3 times :rolleyes:
EDIT: Correction...one game into my 2nd stint with the tiger's AA team, I got called up to AAA. I'm now a Toledo Mudhen :P

The game has been weird, I got drafted by the Tigers, traded to the Yankees, traded to the A's and then back to the Tigers over the course of about a season and a half...

I tried a few different careers/characters during my hitting struggles, and I signed with the Red Sox. I cant hit so I quit that and made a new one. I was drafted by the Tigers in the 2nd one. The Third I was drafted by the Mets and traded to the Tigers. So, in three separate careers I was traded/drafted by Detroit. :mad:

I figured out that pitching is a lot more enjoyable, and am currently in AAA with the PawSox in my third season, close to breaking into the majors.

I hate the trading system in the game. It's awful. I'm hoping they address it in future updates. That being said, I turned off autosave for that reason. I was sick and tired of seeing ridiculously lopsided trades and trades where I was dealt.
