Last night we bought 60 beers for... six of us? And polished off almost all of them. My drinking team has a softball problem.

Drinking Baltika, or any good beer for that matter, in a 1 liter bier stein is amazing. :D Thank you German heritage!

Too bad I didn't buy any vodka today. Summer Shandy and Fat Tire are a great start to the weekend.

Fat Tire was Mr. wore Black's choice. I will pick up some of that tomorrow. Thanks, I shall try that. I was at work today craving Summer Shandy.
 
Firehouse Hefe. A very solid version of the style I must say.

Fat Tire's Belgian offerings are pretty decent, but I really like Leffe Blonde if you can find it. It's pretty prevalent around here.

BA is usually a good indicator, but for some reason it hit the spot. I might have overplayed it because I was in the mood for a Hefe, but the one bottle I had I did like.

Speaking of NB, I'm having a Blue Paddle right now.

Picked up some Skinny Dip tonight. I know I've had it before, but the liking of it I don't recall; I guess it didn't really stand out to me one way or the other in that instance. I do indeed like it. :)

I thought I'd like it (I like blonde/lighter ales) but it was just too weaksauce for me.

Yeah, I think that was the problem the first time I had it. It's kinda a standard non-mass-produced beer. It's like a 5, if you use Bud/MillerCoors as a 1 and Guinness as a 10.

Since it's seasonal, I'll probably still make a point to get it when available, but if it were available year round, I dunno if I'd make the same effort.

Damit! Why did I find by bier steins? 3 cans of beer = almost 1 full stien. It is awesome. It gives me the excuse that I have only had 5 beers today and just started my 6th. Mind you the first 3 were Summer Shandy 12 oz. and the 4th was New Glarus Totally Naked, and 1 bier stein.

That is delicious! I went into Huberts before the Twins game yesterday to find it was just delivered to them this past week. Like everyone else, they'd been asking the distributor for weeks :)

I'd stopped asking the store if they were going to get any more :( I guess I'm going to have to check and/or start asking again :D

I just read an exchange between my cousin and his wife on Facebook. It was really mushy and depressing since I just ended a lengthy relationship. Long story short, I want beer and I can't buy any yet because Michigan sucks. :mad:

Had a Magic Hat Wacko tonight. It's their summer beer and it's sweetened naturally with beets (hence the gorgeous color). It was quite tasty; I'll be sampling it again though in the near future to be sure. :p

So, I finally tried Blue Moon. I liked it quite a bit. What I didn't like was paying $5.00 for a 16oz beer.

I find it way too sweet unless it's on tap.

And I hope you got a lemon, and not an orange. You know, the way it SHOULD be.
