There is way more caffeine in a can of Four Loko (and similar products), than there is in 4-5 oz. of Coke.

That said, I still agree this whole talk of a nationwide ban is stupid. Let dumb people who don't know their limits be dumb, since they're just going to go back to drinking Red Bull and vodka/Jager/etc.
Look at how much Kangas Koolaid Brent has consumed! He hasn't died yet!

Yeah!

Actually, the version of Monster I drink also has real fruit juice in it, so it's healthy for me, too!

CC to mel: you beer has been purchased. Unfortunately, they "only" had it in twelvers. Yeah, I knew you'd be disappointed.

Cider is bottled - finally. :o I might bring along the three pre-production bottles I still have left, but they're still pretty tart. As in, very tart. I don't expect them to develop much more sweetness, but I think that a rest until, say, mid-December would do them a lot of good.

Guess I'm bringing hard liquor up to Houghton instead. ;)

There **** well better be some good posts in here by the end of that Tech roadtrip. A minimum of one sig quote is required otherwise it's a failure.

You probably will have better luck in the Tech/MN threads or Rep Lodge/TRP.

Gonna buy my booze for the weekend in Houghton. Heavy amounts of KBC are in order, along with some whiskey for the after-bar cool-down drink(s).

Well, the Dancing Girl didn't get on the bar, but it's still a long weekend, hopefully Brenthoven gets his jacket back...

And as a final note, the Dog makes the best Whiskey Sours, I've known it for a long time, but I figured now is a good as time as any...that is all

Spoke with the manager, still wouldn't let Dancing Girl on the bar. And God help help the person who has my jacket. We know who it is. It's a matter of how it turns up. I really may have the cops called on me.

When I first tried Scotch, the bar had a 2-for-1 on anything. Anything. So I got JW Black. Ok, that tasted good. My second venture into Scotch was Balvenie 12. I never looked back at JW. Ever.

Upon second tasting, the Schell's Snowstorm does still hold the "*ing glorious" classification.

And for those making the Houghton trip next weekend, I just read there will be bourbon vanilla porter homebrew at the tailgate. :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D

And who might one have to speak with regarding a sample of this wonder?

For those of you who are KBC fans, the Belgian Blitz ("A dark copper colored belgian style ale. Assertive fruity aroma and flavor with low hop bitterness") is quite good.
I also learned last night that I don't like very hoppy beers, as I only managed to get about half a pint of the Urban IPA down.

I can get ya hooked up. That beer is one of the reasons I only had 2 before the game. I guess it's something like 10+ %. :D

Anyone tried the Liene Russian Imperial? They have it at G-Will but I was really in the mood for the SN CA and didn't get it this time.

I actually dread to think what Leinie's would do with that style.

If army beats notre dame, I'm going to get wrecked.

Re: Official Drinking Thread: I'm Having A 6-Pack Attack!: Part The Sixth

Well, 'diva proved us right:

1 glass of the vanilla bourbon porter and it was just about SENANICANS! time. And she had 2 12oz glasses of that, and 1 of the honey porter. She was LOADED. :D

Re: Official Drinking Thread: I'm Having A 6-Pack Attack!: Part The Sixth

Well, didn't stop to get any New Glarus, which is okay, since I brought home:

Sixer of the KBC Amber
Growler of the KBC Porter
Growler of the KBC Belgian Blitz

Mmmmm, KBC.

And for the Houghton locals, I guess that The Library is going to be having that vanilla bourbon porter on tap soon. They're going to call it something along the lines of Gopher Porter, I think.
