Finally had the Schell's Snowstorm tonight - not a big fan, but it's good for the style. I also had a bottle of the New Glarus Unplugged series Apple Ale, and it is actually pretty good (unlike the KBC's "cider" offering.) Plenty of apple flavor and a good amount of sweetness, but just enough ale character to remind you of what it is. Planning to sample a New Glarus Wisconsin Bock one of these days too (my uncle brought some when he came from MI through Wisconsin.)

Oooh--that sounds awesome. I may have to see if I can't find some of that when I'm in WI in a few weeks.

Finally got to try some Anchor Steam last night. Fantastic beer.

Congrats. I wouldn't recommend their holiday offerings. It changes slightly each year, but its never been very good. Stay with the regular stuff.

He's talking tomorrow, you dumb arse. Or if you're reading it now, today. *ing rookie.

Exactly. Dx, we're having a sipper Saturday at my place today. If you want to come over let me know, i'll get the driveway plowed so your mustang can actually get in here.

Some would also say that dark beers do not have "seasons". ;)

I will be heading out in about 30 minutes. Figure that will get me there by 1, with this storm. I've already heard 3-4 plows go by on the side road by my place. This should be a fun drive!

Finally got the EW American Honey/Honey Reserve/whatever. Not quite what I was expecting. Sort of like a poor man's Grand Marnier, clearly they use orange blossom honey.

Definitely needs to be served on the rocks, too sweet to drink neat. Worth a try though, and for the price I'd definitely buy it again.

Some would say that porter season began two months ago, and it's now stout season. Some would also say that dark beers do not have "seasons". ;)

Ya got me there. I always just like it when the Kona Pipeline shows up in stores.

I'm not typically a rum guy, but you've piqued my memory recall of the taste of last years rumballs. Mmmmm...might have to swing to the liquor store tonight...

I'm not either, especially in the winter months. However, I couldn't resist the gimmicky name/label, and I wanted a break from whiskey; stupid marketing. ;)

If I am going to be stuck in a blizzard, I am not going to be stuck at home sober. I got egg nog with brandy, vodka, and of course beer.

Nice. What beers?

I am a big fan of the Leine's Fireside Nut Brown. I'm glad it's back.

I guess sometimes marketing should work. Went out and got a fifth. This stuff is great!

Warm and fuzzy on the inside, I am.

Molson's, Harp (which is almost gone), and Miller Lite. Like I said previously, hard liquor should hold me over.

You think I am going to be sober this weekend?;)

Know how I know you live in Wisconsin? ;)

What gave it away!? ;)

Smithwick's tonight followed by some Sam Adams Black Lager. Or switching between the two. I haven't decided.
