Quite an interesting game in Buffalo after Hawerchuk and Jeanneret got inducted into the Buffalo Sabres HoF.

Not a sparkling night for either goaltender and I'm pretty sure that Winnipeg would have a leg to stand on if they claimed that the officials had it out for them. 4 times down to 3 skaters, three times for 5v3s and once in OT.

But, a win is a win. And that's what I'm taking from it.

Oh yea, and Tropp got his first NHL goal!

Ahahahahaha. Braydon Coburn suckered an NHL team to giving him way more money than he's worth.

4 years at 4.5 each year.

Hilarious. Unbelievable how buffaloed the Flyers are with him. Did they forget he single handedly allowed the Blackhawks to win the Stanley Cup?

They then went out last night against Tampa Bay and stood around. Literally. Tampa went into their 1-3-1 no forecheck while the Flyers stood around in their own zone for 30 seconds. Repeatedly. Looking for a youtube now.

Is the system that each team has acceptable? Sure. But when you get two stubborn a**holes who want to make their point, this is what happens. The Flyers had plenty of chances to move the puck up ice (thanks to the abolishment of the two line pass) where the Flyers camped at the TB blue line were fairly open for a direct pass. The Lightning forward had PLENTY of room to wander up to sorta forecheck and force the Flyers to either pass it to one another, or turn over the puck.

But no.

Obviously teams can defeat the 1-3-1 (Boston did), and teams can beat the 2-2-1 (Blackhawks did). Thank GOD we didn't see a 0-5-0 or 1-4-0. Although that may have been entertaining.

I would find it hilarious if teams kept going into Tampa and doing this on the road only.

Boston wins its 4th straight, scoring 24 goals in those 4 wins. They look really, really good lately.

Why do the Sharks fans boo Heatley? I understand Ottawa doing it, but San Jose?

Good thing cuz the basement isn't a good place to be!

IMHO, the bruins only go when the Horton lucic and kreijci line is producing. Think about the playoffs last year. That line couldnt do a thing against Montreal and then finally during Philly series they started to get it going and then all of sudden bruins start to feel it and believe. This year has been same thing. That line was awful for the first month of the season, but now it looks like they might have got it going.

One heck of a statement game by the Wild so far. 3-0 in the first, and they are making the Ducks look absolutely stupid.

Edit: Of course, it seems as though I have spoken too soon.
