Maybe it's the years of liking the Thrashers, but I'm more than willing to give the Wings a pass so far. It's still roughly .500 hockey... If they're still slumping by Thanksgiving, then there is plenty of worry to be had.

I went to the Wild-Canucks game last night, that was a fun one to watch. It was the most complete game I've seen the Wild play in several years, they looked very good. Harding was awesome again, and it sounds like he may get the next start as well. (Backstrom trade bait?????) They put 45 shots on goal, constantly putting the puck on Schneider. I hope this is a sign of things to come, because if they can play like this regularly, they will be making some noise in the West.

I don't think the Shanahammer will be dropped on him, he was clearly trying to defend himself and was outnumbered, since it looked like he was pulled into the bench by someone on the bench, watching it live. ****ing dirty Canucks.

Having watched it on TV and getting to see different angles and replays, it didn't actually look Luke the Vancouver bench got involved. Hope he just gets a fine because it was obviously unintentional.
Cullen was insane last night. Two goals and an assist on nine shots and winning 13 of 17 faceoffs.

So, the Sharks honored Thornton's 1000 games before the game last night. The team itself got him a silver hockey stick, which is some kind of tradition, since Hal Gill got one from the Habs some time back.
His teammates got him a woolly mammoth tusk.
