They were actually talking about that later in the game. I'm surprised the hit didn't warrant something. I didn't particularly agree with Miller calling Lucic "gutless." It wasn't gutless to run full force into a goalie. I think it was the opposite. Maybe it was too much gut. It would have been gutless if Lucic skated away and didn't play the rest of the game because he feared retaliation was imminent. Which interestingly enough, it wasn't. Now, if he called Lucic a ********* for doing that, it would make more sense.

As Felger said, it isn't Lucic's fault no one else on the Sabres felt like standing up for Miller.

To clarify, I am not convinced that it warrants a suspension. The same thing happened to Harding earlier this season. It was called a charge.

Only difference is that Harding was fine. That doesn't matter much though, because I am not a believer in officials, on the ice or not, playing doctor.

<-Loling at the fact the NHL agreed that it was not worth any more than a minor penalty.

If he plays then says he has a concussion, something is very wrong. Either he doesn't have a concussion and is lying about it to try to get Lucic suspended, or the medical staff let him stay in net even though he has a concussion. Can't have it both ways.
And if he had a concussion but said to the doctor, "I have to stay in this game because I'm battling for playing time" and the doc went along with it, he needs to be sent packing.

I understand the medical staff dropped the ball, but it's an age old thing that a player will try to lobby to get back into the game. It's like that in every sport. Miller is worried that Enroth is going to take his job if he doesn't stay on the ice. If the medical staff got snowed by Miller, then they should be disciplined or fired.

I have no problem admitting when someone else is right. I'm sure that some Bruins fans would be shouting from the rafters for the head of anyone who went after Thomas or Tuukka that way, but odds are that if something like that happened in the first period, the perpetrator would have more things to worry about than if Shanahan was going to fine him. If Miller wants to get mad at someone, look around that locker room and see all the teammates that didn't have his back.

Exactly how many times must we explain to you area clowns that TimP doesn't speak for us before it sinks in?

I have zero problem with any member of the Bruins serving a lengthy suspension if they do anything dangerous and/or stupid. Sorry, I don't get a say.

I understand, Jon. I was just taking a dig at him because he sounded like Edwards when he told that Canadiens player to get up.
