Official 2011-2012 Miami Season Thread Part II: (OH) Yeah!

Re: Official 2011-2012 Miami Season Thread Part II: (OH) Yeah!

Still a bit ironic that an OSU poster is giving us grief about a lack of attendance :p
Only calling it as I saw it here at the Joe my friend. I made certain the members of my family who are Miami alums came here to support the team. The Western fans were really loud and dominate tonight and I'm sure it helped motivate their team. Anyway, Miami played a much more cohesive game today and wasn't hammered with penalties and got their win. Selection show tomorrow will tell if it helped. Good luck to you!

Bridgeport! That means I'll be there. Leaving NYC at 3pm Friday. Anyone else able to make the trek?

1 - Union
2 - Miami
3 - Massachusetts-Lowell
4 - Michigan State

No Boston school in our regional. Before last year, I would have assumed that meant an automatic trip to the Frozen Four. Hopefully we got our letdown game out of the way at the Joe!

Really favorable draw for us. Don't want to get complacent though, we wouldn't want to come out flat like we did last year.

Airfare from Denver is north of $700...have to hope they make it to Tampa this year...

Watch out for Union, they are very good. Miami should have little problem with Lowell. Good luck.

Northeast regional confirmed for group of death?

I would not want to play the team that makes it out of there.

Re: Official 2011-2012 Miami Season Thread Part II: (OH) Yeah!

I think West Regional is tougher than Northeast. All four teams could potentially win it I think which is not the case in Northeast because you have Air Force.

True, that will be a tough one as well. I guess I preferred the Northeast regional because I'm really looking forward to Maine/Duluth as a neutral observer. I have a feeling that will be a real barn-burner.

IF Miami is fortunate enough to advance past Lowell, I'd like to see Union over MSU if for no other reason than to see how we'd fare against them. Not only that, but we're 4-0 against MSU this year. Something tells me 5-0 would be awfully tough...

Agreed, especially after the beatdown in Oxford last weekend.

Long time lurker, finally got my account approved by Mods.

I didn't get to watch either game this weekend. Did we look like we better saturday night? Was friday just a fluke or what?

Welcome!

We just came out flat and sloppy Friday, Western was ready to go and took full advantage.

I only watched bits and pieces Saturday, but we looked pretty good. I'd venture a guess that BG was probably not 100% in that game though, mentally or physically.

Thanks. Yea, I figured BG might be a little slow. Is this friday's game on ESPNU?
