Official 2011-2012 Miami Season Thread Part II: (OH) Yeah!

Re: Official 2011-2012 Miami Season Thread Part II: (OH) Yeah!

I'm in tears right now following the punch from Palmasano's (?) - MSU goalie - punch to the face of a Redhawk. From the mouths of our commentators on MUAA:

"That's so bush league."
"Yeah. That's a Sean Hunwick-like play."

LMAO!

The MSU game thread on one of their forums has turned into talking about how bad Greg and Drew are, can't say I blame them. I'd probably throw a brick through my laptop if I had to listen to Greg as a non-Miami fan. Tbh, I have to mute him when we are loosing big, the incessant whining about the refs gets grating.

That being said, I laughed pretty hard at those comments.

You guys are the only team we didn't match up with all year... So of course we end up in this series. Good luck in Detroit.

I'll fish the link off my iPad later, nothing all that interesting. Standard U of M/MSU losing to Miami forum stuff, make some comments about being in the MAC, say our band sucks, all that jazz.

Great wins this weekend. Heading to the Joe sans any kind of questions of who will be between the pipes on Friday afternoon, feels great!!

Nice sweep this weekend. MSU fans have no room to talk regarding radio announcers. Their color guy, Rob Woodward openly shouts during play "SCORE HERE" or "HE'S OPEN!"

Great weekend.

Hopefully we get another edition of the Connor Knapp show at the Joe.

Flipped the TUC with Ferris tonight. .6034 vs. .6000. Within a couple hundreths in the RPI from flipping the overall comparison. Two wins should lock up a 1 seed, which would obviously be a great achievement.

I know there are a few convicted Blue Jackets fans here that will cringe at this thumping of Nail Yakupov
Even if you're not, enjoy an ugly hockey hit

Although I don't know for sure, just based off of the ups and downs of all three programs, this probably is the first time that all of the MAC programs made it to the Joe. Conference of Champions?

1 national championship in 60 years (thanks Akron), clearly a Conference of Champions :)

Stupid Kent State dropping their program.

Two if you count BG's...though it was technically not in MAC play. Do our 18,000 synchronized skating national titles count? :)

Ran a few comparisons -- not every scenario -- but it's looking like a win over Western and as long as Union does not win ECAC, we should get a #1 seed. But, I'm sure there are scenarios that exist where it doesn't happen. We could fall to a #3 if we were to lose to WMU and BG and the favorites all won.
