Official 2011-2012 Miami Season Thread Part II: (OH) Yeah!

Re: Official 2011-2012 Miami Season Thread Part II: (OH) Yeah!

A quick look on hockeydb shows prior to this year he had 4 total PIM previous two seasons in USHL. Looks like it was his first line brawl and probably his last based on those results.

Don't forget he will be a sophomore when we will be in the most physical conference in the country. If there is fighting thats where you'll find it

Senior night ceremony will take place after the game on Friday because of the 6pm start. Hope people stick around.

Miami recruit Chris Joyaux was honored as USHL Defensive Player of the Week. He recorded 1G, 2A +4 in a 3-0 weekend including his first career shorthanded goal. Joyaux has 17 points through 40 games (4G, 13A) for the Chicago Steel.

Do you know why this weeks Braketology is wrong? Miami isn't playing on the east coast playing a lower-seeded HE team in a veritable home game for that team. ;)

Highlights from ND series are now free on All-Access if anyone cares.

Also, kinda funny to see the look on Tiesling's face on the front page.

Well the Bruins won last night, but unsurprisingly Camper didn't see a whole lot of ice time. He looked like he was having a tough time behind the net against some of the bigger guys. Still great to see him make his debut.

Man, he looked slow out there...love the guy, but not the fleetest of foot even at the college level. At any rate, he was respectable in the faceoff circle and it was great to see him get the callup in his first year. Obviously Carter Camper and "grinder' don't exactly go together so until there is a spot on a scoring line I wouldn't expect much production out of him, but you never know.

On the positive side, at least he wasn't on the ice for any of St. Louis' goals...

Hail to The Chief!

The tribes go forth to war,
Their scalp songs ring afar;
Bright the blood-red camp fires gleaming,
Mad with thrist the war-hawks screaming,
Signal smoke soars high,
Beckons in the sky,
Old men shake their calabashes,
Warriors dance amid the ashes,
Maides sobbing, war-drums throbbing, WAR!

Sweet the vict'ry and the conquest,
Calm the rest among the slain;
Sons of centuries of heroes,
Seek the fruit, despise the pain.
Watch Miami, now,
See the foeman bow,
Far and wide their host is scattered,
Spears are broken, shields are battered;
Miami! Yuh! Yuh! Yuh! Yuh!
Miami! Yuh! Yuh! Yuh! Yuh!
Race them, chase them, pound them, Wow!
