Official 2011-2012 Miami Season Thread Part II: (OH) Yeah!

Re: Official 2011-2012 Miami Season Thread Part II: (OH) Yeah!

He was still hot under the collar and talking crap and would't get out of Miami's victory circle. He was escorted out by one of the linesmen.

If I may be so bold...

How many of you were actually fans or a part of Miami 15 years ago? I imagine there are maybe 4-5 of us on here that were actually there. Considering that, of all of the ideas/traits that the previous mascot that should carry over, are we sure that one of those is "scalping"? I mean really?!

Didn't this all start as a reaction to the Scalp Song banning? Everyone on here was around for that so I'm not sure the first part of your argument is necessarily valid. The second part is a a fair position to have. I think most of it is tongue in cheek about the administration creating an issue where there wasn't one. jmho

Is the first tie breaker league wins? And then head to head? I know this comes up every year, but just checking because i can't remember. Thanks.

JD corrected me on that over on MHT. League wins is apparently the first tie breaker. I can never keep them in order!

I'm not sure when this whole "Scalp (whomever)" started, but it's not a good idea.

Also, of course it's your "honest opinion." It's always your honest opinion...unless you're lying, which i'm guessing you're not. You don't have to add the whole "honest" bit. It's just "in my opinion."

Sorry, but that's a pet peeve of mine.

Clearly...

In my honest opinion, I think that the series with OSU is the biggest one of the year! :D sorry, 2008 had to do it.

Re: Official 2011-2012 Miami Season Thread Part II: (OH) Yeah!

I saw the game on CBS Friday night but wasn't able to see any of the Saturday game. Can someone help with this Larson clown (whom I've never even heard of). What was the deal with him, if you please? I guess I didn't see the play or plays on Friday? Help!

Re: Official 2011-2012 Miami Season Thread Part II: (OH) Yeah!

Friday game at the very end Schilling was holding the puck running out the clock and Larson hit him with about 2 seconds left. Obviously, Schilling did not like this retaliated and there was a small scrum on the ice resulting in penalties on both guys at the 20:00 mark of the third period.

Saturday it seems like Larson's frustrations continued. I recall one time the announcers mentioning Larson was running his mouth after a whistle and on many other occasions he was getting right on top of Knapp after he made saves. Finally, to top it all off Larson was still trying to start things in the handshake line and he was nicely escorted out by one of the linesman.

Thanks.

I saw the scrum at the end of Friday's game but I didn't think anything of it. What a clown. Earlier this year North Dakota's Ben Blood was stripped of his 'A' after an incident in the handshake line after a game against Minnesota. I'll be curious to finally hear Jeff Jackson's complaints and whining (and any discipline) in tomorrow's media since UND.com doesn't bother to cover losses...especially on the road. #selectivereporting

Yep, he's skating morning practice with them. They've been shutout in four of their last nine games so they're seeking some scoring punch from the third or fourth line. Camper was leading the Pruins in scoring...hopefully he's in the lineup tomorrow night. Regardless, great experience for him I'm sure.

Posted on the blog, but check out Jay Williams getting his *** kicked in a line brawl. Glad to see he wasn't seriously injured.

My god... that puts the BG fight to shame.

Does Williams get himself into these types of situations often?
