Official 2011-2012 Miami Season Thread Part II: (OH) Yeah!

Re: Official 2011-2012 Miami Season Thread Part II: (OH) Yeah!

It's practically summer out here in the mid-west. High of 48, who needs a tent? Man (or woman) up!

I unfortunately did not woman up. It's 8:30 and there are a good amount of people here - I'm excited to see tonights turnout!

Two hours later...has anyone gotten in line behind you? :p

Edit: I did not get it down to the minute on purpose, I swear.

Yes actually there are three groups behind me. CBS is here and it's a little crazy around the rink with all their trailers and cameras.

In other news, the last two weeks Mullin has been limping really badly but this morning I saw him out on the ice. Maybe we will see him come back from his knee injury this weekend?

Id like to see him with tHirsch. Keep BIGGS up. First line needs a big body

Thanks for the reports earlier :)

Noticed that Reilly Smith has had a hand in some of Biggs' points. Is Tyler playing a bigger role offensively (top 6 role, Power-play unit, etc)?

More random notes:

-I think Knapp certainly laid to rest any doubt as to who will be starting tonight.

-Judging by the last few seconds of the game, I think tonight may get a bit chippy.

-He didn't get on the score sheet, but I thought McKenzie was one of the best players on the ice last night. He was all over the puck behind the net in the offensive zone.

-Still 0 for 2, but we definitely looked better on the power play. It was nice to see the puck getting down low instead of bouncing back and forth between the defensemen for point shots that never go in.

C Mac and Murphy definitely played their asses off. Hell, even Hartman was dangling in the neutral zone. When did he get hands? ;)

Most definitely think Larson has been watching too much North Dakota/Minnesota with the hand shake incident.

Connor Murphy with a great weekend. Would be nice if Alaska could have done better this weekend, but currently down 3-0 at MSU and looks like they will be swept. Hopefully we can get a little help from ND next weekend against MSU and we take care of business against OSU to move into 4th in CCHA and get home ice and bye to the second round.

I believe we either need the Irish to take at least 4 points from MSU or Ferris to at least get 3 from WMU. That's of course premised on us taking care of our own business and getting 6 points from the Buckeyes.

Uh-ha-ha-hah. Hoo. Thanks for the chuckle. I needed that after this team's effort lately.

But seriously, did you not just watch your team dismantle my team? Twice. Notre Dame is not going to take anything but a beating from MSU next weekend.

Not sure if we played awesome, or if Notre Dame was just totally flat. Most likely a combination of both.

What happened? I didn't stick around for the handshake.
