They should ban applause from the SOTU. I swear Bush's in 2004 was a 10 minute speech with 50 minutes of Clapping on Camera. I fully expect tonight's to be the same.

It'll be interesting to see if some GOP numbskull boos or throws a banana at him or whatever.

um. shouldn't that flag belong to the people of the United States? be in a museum? the Navy gets to keep it?

Slow down, take a breath, feel free to throw in an inflection here and there, change the volume, change the pitch. ANYTHING!

I deprived myself the pleasure of experiencing another campaign speech by "the one," instead watching "Groundhog Day." Say, wait a minute, "the one's" speeches and the movie reflect the same repetitive reality--except Bill Murray is intentionally funny.

he uses "I" "me" "mine" way too much. needs to be "we" "us" and "our". but, yes, this is picky speech class stuff.

I was going to watch, but decided a higher priority was repair & refinishing of the kids' ice rink. How did the speech go? More interesting to watch water freeze?
