He had to bring in Bill Clinton the other day. If these big name, big money guys are struggling, what does it mean for Democrats elected in districts that Bush or McCain carried? Guys who don't have the juice to get Bill Clinton to lend a hand.

According to Real Clear Politics, 39 seats are rated toss ups--37 of 'em are currently held by Democrats! More exceedingly bad news. RCP claims the Republicans are already at 210 and only need to pick up a handful of those tossups to take control.

Me too. They'll pour money into his district to save his hide. But just the fact that he has to break a sweat, is indicative of how bad it is for them.

Economy in the tank, nothing getting done anywhere, and the sitting congress is in trouble. That never happens!!!!

Wasn't '08 supposed to have ushered in Democratic majorities that would last for a generation? Sort of like the "thousand year Reich?" Both of those bloated sentiments have proven to be off the mark a tad.

Considering 02, 04 and 06 were all death knells of the Democratic Party, I think they're doing pretty good for a non-existent party. :p

It's not like the Republicans ever thought they'd have a permanent majority...right?

Certainly. Even so, it'll be a pleasure watching the MSM eating generous portions of crow and trying to figure out where to put the blame. The blame, of course, is trying to govern a center right country from the left. But, I'm guessing collectively they'll come to other conclusions.

I did like Plouffe saying yesterday that Republicans need to win the House, Senate, and all major Gov. races in order to avoid "colossal failure".
Way to manage those expectations.

There's a bad beat down on its way. They may as well lay back and enjoy it. Looks like they'll hold the governorship in NY and may pick up the seat in California, although that whore, Jerry Brown, seems determined to keep that race competitive. BTW, if Californians vote to restore governor "moon beam," they'll get no sympathy from me.

I'm with you. It takes a unique set of dip****s to ever let the Dems into control, but once or twice every twenty years it happens. Then the Dems promptly remind everyone why they are fools. Hopefully at some point we can get someone into office with an actual conservative agenda vs. simply the Republican agenda. I'm not convince the Repubs are fit for the highest office yet, but ridding congress of many Dems won't be a bad thing.

Please point out specific dem actions that you know have led this country to disaster.

Need we point out any conservative moves in the last 10 years that did just that? And don't give this bs that the Bush administration and congress was not conservative...as conseratives have been shown time and again to support them from the beginning to the bitter end.
