So you're saying someone like the Pope isn't a serious person?
Any guy who can wear red Prada shoes isn't to be messed with, buddy.
The "Lioness of Tuzla" wakes up every single day thinking she and that pig she's "married" to should be living in the WH. When she thinks about how Obama blindsided her in '08, I'd imagine the crockery flies around the room. What was it Kerry said about "W": "I can't believe I'm losing to this guy." Boy, howdy. In her mind, this lady felt she was "entitled" to be president. She'd earned it.
She has no loyalty, ideological or otherwise, to Obama. And if she thinks she can win the nomination, she'll run. And she'd do so regardless of the position she'd be holding. Resignation is a small price to pay for a shot at the big prize. The question is, how bad do things have to be for Obama for her to step up to the plate? Dire, I'd say. It's not likely. Peter Beinert has a column this morning declaring Obama a "lock" to win in '12. Well, maybe not a "lock" but he'll likely be very tough to beat. That's our history.
I'd imagine '16 is unlikely for her, not because of age (think: Reagan, Ronald) but because after 8 years of one party in the WH, the country is usually in a mood for change. And she'll be "yesterday's news," we'll be looking for a new face.
As long as we're talking 2012 and beyond, I'd just like to be the first to start the Feingold 2012 rumors.
Bill H.R. 3808 is on Obama's desk to sign or veto. The bill makes it easier for the banks to foreclose on homes by the use of fraudulent documents. The way this Bill passed through the House and Senate is very, "troubling", to quote a lawyer in the linked article.

ouch.Hasan, a veteran diplomat who is close to Pakistan's president, suggested the Obama administration was playing politics with the terror threat before next month's midterm congressional elections, in which the Republicans are expected to make big gains.
He also claimed President Obama was reacting to pressure to demonstrate that his Afghan war strategy and this year's troop surge, which are unpopular with the American public, were necessary.
"I will not deny the fact that there may be internal political dynamics, including the forthcoming midterm American elections. If the Americans have definite information about terrorists and al-Qaida people, we should be provided [with] that and we could go after them ourselves," Hasan said.
"Such reports are a mixture of frustrations, ineptitude and lack of appreciation of ground realities.
Gallup - whose August unemployment levels of 9.4% were more optimistic (as they have been all summer long) than the government estimate of 9.6% - just released their September unemployment estimate: a whopping 10.1%.
The government estimates come out tomorrow, let's see what they have to say.
