Re: Obama XVI: Muslin curtains in the White House!!!

The "Lioness of Tuzla" wakes up every single day thinking she and that pig she's "married" to should be living in the WH. When she thinks about how Obama blindsided her in '08, I'd imagine the crockery flies around the room. What was it Kerry said about "W": "I can't believe I'm losing to this guy." Boy, howdy. In her mind, this lady felt she was "entitled" to be president. She'd earned it.

She has no loyalty, ideological or otherwise, to Obama. And if she thinks she can win the nomination, she'll run. And she'd do so regardless of the position she'd be holding. Resignation is a small price to pay for a shot at the big prize. The question is, how bad do things have to be for Obama for her to step up to the plate? Dire, I'd say. It's not likely. Peter Beinert has a column this morning declaring Obama a "lock" to win in '12. Well, maybe not a "lock" but he'll likely be very tough to beat. That's our history.

I'd imagine '16 is unlikely for her, not because of age (think: Reagan, Ronald) but because after 8 years of one party in the WH, the country is usually in a mood for change. And she'll be "yesterday's news," we'll be looking for a new face.

I would imagine that her ego would love for her resume to include-US Senator, Secretary of State, Vice President and then Presidient. With that legacy she would not have missed much;)

As long as we're talking 2012 and beyond, I'd just like to be the first to start the Feingold 2012 rumors.

probably trying to see if they can get ahead of the other lawsuit sitting in front of a republican appointed judge brought by those from several states where conservatives hold power....

Can the president go a month without allusions to violence? I understand that he has to act tough as cover for his personality, but enough already.

Re: Obama XVI: Muslin curtains in the White House!!!

Bill H.R. 3808 is on Obama's desk to sign or veto. The bill makes it easier for the banks to foreclose on homes by the use of fraudulent documents. The way this Bill passed through the House and Senate is very, "troubling", to quote a lawyer in the linked article.

Well our government is by the people ,for the people kinda like a commie. so they are working for the people by doing the bidding of corporations that create jobs.

I heard that local banks (and others that do notary) stopped doing notarization for certain things because they were sued for false applications.

I love the media. on how TARP is almost paid off blah great blah paid off blah it worked blah blah blah. and very little mention of the $1.7 Trillion spent buying the toxic loans and other assets by Federal Reserve.

Re: Obama XVI: Muslin curtains in the White House!!!

The progressives keep telling Main Street to give Obama more time to work his magic but between the impending massive tax hike from letting the Bush tax cuts die and racking up a massive, massive debt that has fixed next to nothing, Main Street is making it known that they have lost all faith in Obama's competence in managing an economy, as clearly is seen in the polls....

And now, this just in:

Gallup - whose August unemployment levels of 9.4% were more optimistic (as they have been all summer long) than the government estimate of 9.6% - just released their September unemployment estimate: a whopping 10.1%.

The government estimates come out tomorrow, let's see what they have to say.

It makes sense, I suspect if he had decided the other way his summary would also make sense...I don't see the clear precedent for his decision and using credit cards (something the admin has sought to stifle from the day they took over) as their basis for decision is an odd choice. There had to be a better example for the administration to use.

Hope and Change
Hasan, a veteran diplomat who is close to Pakistan's president, suggested the Obama administration was playing politics with the terror threat before next month's midterm congressional elections, in which the Republicans are expected to make big gains.

He also claimed President Obama was reacting to pressure to demonstrate that his Afghan war strategy and this year's troop surge, which are unpopular with the American public, were necessary.

"I will not deny the fact that there may be internal political dynamics, including the forthcoming midterm American elections. If the Americans have definite information about terrorists and al-Qaida people, we should be provided [with] that and we could go after them ourselves," Hasan said.

"Such reports are a mixture of frustrations, ineptitude and lack of appreciation of ground realities.
ouch.

Apparently it held at 9.6%.

How bad is it out there for Democrats? Well, John Dingell, who's been in the House since Christ was a corporal, is trailing! We all know the conventional wisdom, an incumbent polling below 50% is in trouble. Dingell's evidently polling below 40%!

I would expect the liberal distribution of "walking around money" and other tried and true Democratic tactics to pull this guy over the finish line. But it's astonishing that he's apparantly going to have to pull out all the stops to keep his job. This is very bad news for Democrats. Very bad news.

It just gets better and better: the biggest putz in Congress is in trouble, too.

Dingell's certainly in a race, but I'd be stunned if he actually got beat.

Re: Obama XVI: Muslin curtains in the White House!!!

Bwaney Fwank is also struggling in his race, though I think polls still show him in the lead.
