Obama 10: Rahm it through.....even in the shower.

Re: Obama 10: Rahm it through.....even in the shower.

Well the current system is all socialized losses and private profits. So I really don't have a problem with removing the banker/lender leeches even partially.

You might be right in total but if we look at medicaid/care the admin cost is much lower than private sector but fraud seems high... around $2billion losses .5-1% from fake medical bills.

I'm not even sure what the cap is on student guarantee is, but from the sound of it the rhode scholar borrowed $680,000 over her limit (with 2 accounts) so sounds like she borrowed around $1.2million. That is crazy.

You really think they have lower admin costs? They don't allocate expense in the same manner a company is required to do...computers, security, benefits, phone bills, landscaping ... you name it...is managed outside of the specific agencies so when they say admin is 2% of the budget, they are telling the truth but also not telling the whole story (par for the course). BUT, we are paying for all of those things...along with the estimated $98 Billion in improper payments the federal govt made in FY 2009.

And, if it is going to cost billions more for the government to do it, and I submit that is not a full accounting of the conversion, fraud and default costs, then we're saying "even if it costs more tax dollars, I want any business associated with any government entity to be run by the government".

Read all the articles...they point out that the government is still going to charge students 6.8% on the loans (it is ok for the government to profit off of students) and that private loans through lenders have higher rates because they aren't subsidized....but when they sold the plan to us they said the private lenders were making billions off subsidies, how can that be true if they are passing them on in the form of lower rates?...somebody isn't telling the whole story on that either.

Obama seems to be mathematically challenged at times. Doesn't the look on his face at the end of this video remind you of Bush in some of his public gaffes?

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=H_vu...eAU&feature=rec-LGOUT-exp_stronger_r2-2r-1-HM

What's frightening is the fact that the audience actually cheered him after those comments. Talk about the dumb masses.

LOL, that is the problem and those are the folks who voted for him. Problem is, to me it seems, Americans are getting dumber; especially the younger generation. What happened to fact checking? What happened to debate? Not arguing or grousing like we do here, but serious debate without insults or offense?

Obama said he was going to change America by leveling the playing field via redistribution. He is one heck of a community organizer and social engineer. So, when he passed Health Care who was really surprised? Now he will tackle Immigrant Reform. Another social engineering platform. Everything he learned in his radial church is coming to light and becoming law.

Economy and Jobs? Nah, they are not sexy liberal issues... until voting time.

I think Obama is more polarizing than Dubya. Good luck in November dems, you boy Obama already conceded this week in Boston it does not look good, but hey, Obama has Hope!

Jason Mattera said it well on the Imus show yesterday. Young Americans, my generation and younger, voted for the "cool guy." Debate? Psh. Boring.

Honestly, if half of Obama voters could have told you anything about the man's planks and beliefs other than "hope," "change," or "Bush," I'd be amazed.

If I had voted for Obama it would have been a lesser of the two evils. Since the other option was caribou barbie and her running mate, some old guy who was around when dirt was new.

So how do you think those two would have done a better job anyways?

You know, didn't the same thing happen with Bush vs Gore? Gore was/is unlikable and a fuddy duddy, Bush was cool, a man's man. Who liked Doritos and football and hanging on the couch.

A lot of people my age voted for Bush the first time around because he was the cool one.

But ignore that.

I honestly think they would have given tax breaks to business, that tends to create jobs in the US. The Obama admin tripled the deficit within one year, good job Barry!

On another note...

I love how liberals detest and loathe Palin. She is an above average woman who speaks her mind and holds traditional values, and is not of the Ivy League, uber educated jet-set that the Liberals think must be in charge. She is capable of connecting with most American women, and Liberals fear her for the way she talks; in their fear, they ridicule her. Her role is most suited for media (ehh, not my cup of tea, but high very high ratings) and stumping for cash for the RNC. Palin has proven very successful in both arenas. Now compare her to Rachel Maddow, Ph.D. hee hee hee, 'nuff said! :D

When did being educated become a bad thing in this country? Especially on message board made up primarily of people who have been or are in college. That very thing you just said was a bad thing.

Yea those traditional small town values like.... well no gay marriage..... uh... uh.... uh... no Walmarts.

And Palin is a hilarious conservative mad lib. "Liberals" aren't scared of her, they're baffled by the idea that she has become a spokesperson for the republican party.

Re: Obama 10: Rahm it through.....even in the shower.

Sarah Palin is not the spokesperson for the Republican party. She holds sway with a decent portion of the party, and has a decent idea or two, but that's it.

I think the biggest difference with a McCain-Palin presidency would be in health care reform. Congress either wouldn't have attempted it, knowing McCain would veto, or it would have been a much more scaled back effort.

I think McCain probably would have been cajoled by Congress and the media into doing a stimulus package, which would have failed just as miserably.

Honestly, the Obama presidency has been pretty darn good for conservatives so far.

Re: Obama 10: Rahm it through.....even in the shower.

Let me guess, you did:D

Nope. I wasn't a citizen yet because my parents waited too long to apply and take advantage of the law that allows parents when they become citizens to automatically have their children take citizenship.

And I was also just under two months too young to vote even if I had citizenship then. :D

And I had disliked Bush since he beat Ann Richards. Since Ann Richards is awesome. :D

What are the traditional values? Lying? Bashing something (Canadian healthcare) then admitting she defrauded the Canadian government by crossing the border to take advantage of said healthcare?

I don't know what it is with Palin. I don't know why conservatives like her, I don't know why anyone would hate her. I don't know why anyone even cares about what she has to say!

As far as I'm aware the national health care system hadn't been set up by then and the Palin family paid their own way as was the rules at that time. There was some additional stuff in regards to the Yukon territory rules and things like that.

You guys need her to be this ultimate figure of anti-virtue so very badly.

"Liberals" aren't scared of her, they're baffled by the idea that she has become a spokesperson for the republican party.

Then why do you guys feel so strikingly compelled to bring her up over and over and over again. The reason she's become a spokesperson is because she's speaking to things that conservatives feel are under-represented. Yes, we probably need a better font for such things but at least somebody is saying it.

Fact of the matter is Palin gets brought up so much because you need somebody to point to destroy the credibility of the ideas she holds. That and you need something to hate.

1. Traditional values, yes, gay marriage because it is not a civil right guaranteed by the Constitution. So, let's put it to vote and see what the populous says. (Didn't work too well in California, or Maine)

2. Another traditional value, the belief in God. OK, so Liberals want to keep church/state far away from each other, well, until Pelosi sees an opportunity to evoke St. Joseph for the Health Care Bill, or Obama decrees "...they'll cling to their guns and religion." <- psst, no one cared he was black, people are against Obama because they do not share his social engineering/socialistic agenda!

3. A big traditional value (I think this is the one that drives Liberals nuts regarding Palin), she knew she was going to have a baby with birth defects and still opted to have the child and not an abortion. Unlike Liberals who want full term abortion, in fact it was the big debate issue in passing the Health Care Bill.

I disagree with you, Foxton, I think the Liberal Left are very nervous about her and her "like-ability" and her reach to the average American in the farm lands, and country. Not so in California or East Cost Liberal hot spots, but she reaches people and is a big threat to the DNC... otherwise they would not have gone after her with just venom during the election and to-date.

I've nothing against higher education, but I do get a charge out how it is used as a mantra for the Liberal Left... i.e., Science, not God. However, it does not really matter as Obama won and he is executing his social engineering and changing America. I will say in closing, all of the folks I knew who were on the fence and voted for Obama felt as though they were lied to, cheated and bamboozled; they will be the ones in the next election to vote against him.

E-

PS Where are the 2 million jobs? Does volunteering at ACORN count?

The liberals are nervous because they've lost control of the message and lost control of the body-politic. Palin is but an effective tool to this end. That being said, the general view of Palin is poisoned so much by those who believe themselves to be of reason that any presidential campaign will likely fail excepting that a) Obama states what he believes (he won't) b) Obama does something mind-blowingly corrupt (not likely).

I mean, look at the shift caused by the "death panel" stuff. The liberals are still angry with that because it resonated. They are taking their anger out on the messengers because they believe their ideas as so absolute that they need not be argued. That's why Palin, to them, has to be dealt with. Her electability is not all that high due to the various starkly grounded beliefs of those who oppose her. On this matter it is an article of a class-issue in that those who do not like her see Palin as a lesser-person. This is why the "faith healer" nonsense sticks... it fits their notion of lesser-persons. Palin has no real future but she does carry a message and she does rally the opposition. Limbaugh has no chance of being elected in this country for any office... hell... his only position is at the other end of a telephone wire attached to a microphone. Yet their concern about him transcends any normal debate.

You'd think a group whose beliefs are so righteous and evident wouldn't need to go to such means. But then again, I suppose that makes us all part of the conspiracy or useful idiots to the conspiracy to prevent such enlightened ideas.

Re: Obama 10: Rahm it through.....even in the shower.

I think people are angry about the "death panel" stuff because it was an outright lie. There was nothing even remotely resembling a "death panel" in the bill at any time. I know people with ideological beliefs on either side will believe what anyone tells them, but that one was pretty awful.

Where is straight marriage guaranteed by the constitution?

And do you really think civil rights should be decided by a simple majority like what happened in California? With the main support for those supporting proposition 8 coming from people who were using their religion to decide the civil rights of others.
**** those founding fathers and their first amendment! And the original clause in the constitution about no religious test being required for office! How dare people respect the constitution!

I don't care about Pelosi, who is a catholic, and if you want god in politics, why are you complaining when someone does it? You just gave a reason not to have it play any part.

And no "liberal" woman would ever think to have a baby with any kind of defect. There isn't a rolls eyes smilie big enough for you, you disgusting piece of slime.

Palin has also toted her son out and used him as a political tool several times. Even insulted someone with Down syndrome in the process.

I love the quote from her on that.

"I guess former Governor Palin does not have a sense of humor. I thought the line "I am the daughter of the former governor of Alaska" was very funny. I think the word is "sarcasm."

In my family we think laughing is good. My parents raised me to have a sense of humor and to live a normal life. My mother did not carry me around under her arm like a loaf of French bread the way former Governor Palin carries her son Trig around looking for sympathy and votes."

The average American isn't a farmer or living out in the country.

They went after her with venom because she's an inept sycophant. Seeing Russia from Alaska counts as foreign policy experience to her. (Even though she's never personally done it)

Clips begin at 8 seconds, and this is just for the campaign.

Science directly allows 1/3rd of the Earths population to live with the haber process. Try to imagine 2.2 billion people dying of starvation by removing this one process. It allows you to use that computer you're typing on, it eradicated smallpox, one of the greatest killers in human history, every part of your daily life is dominated by things created and understood because of science, could you please tell me what does god do for you? If you want god to make your decisions, perhaps you should move to a theocracy.
