Nov 27th-28th UAA VS CC

Re: Nov 27th-28th UAA VS CC

Saturday night's game concerns me. One of two thing will happen. UAA will show to play a game of hockey, or show to fight a boxing match. I hope they choose a game of hockey. I've got a bad feeling about how things will unfold tonight. With two important games next weekend CC does not need any players injured or suspensed if UAA decides to goon it up.

Oh my gosh. Post of the thread! UAA loses two players last night, both times CC is whistled for the penalty, and you worry about UAA gooning it up? Priceless. Still waiting to see if justice will be served tonight for the kneeing penalty.

UAA have been clutch/grab/goon bottom feeders in this league ever since Brush Christiansen retired. Suze face it: your team sucks...they've always sucked...they always will suck.

Re: Nov 27th-28th UAA VS CC

According to Haider, who is one of the best play by play guys, he said Vidmar laid on the ice for some time, then was helped off the ice, and went to the locker room. He never said anything about him coming back to the ice.

Regardless, it should be reviewed and the correct action taken.

Absence of evidence is not evidence of absence.

UAA had 4 players on the ice for the puck drop on the ensuing power play. The refs waited to drop the puck, and Vidmar skated over the point at the faceoff. He was on the ice for about 10-15 seconds, I would guess, and went immediately off ice at the next whistle. It looked like they wanted him to see how the leg would take skating, and it didn't take.

As I posted earlier, the goalie injury didn't occur from the penalty on Civitarese. Hamburg, I think, was pushed on top of the goalie by a UAA player.

Then why was a penalty called?

If the refs let him stay on the ice, that is very suspect. When Wiercioch did the same thing, the refs made him go to the bench. I was told when a player gets hurt, he is not allowed to remain on the ice, but has to go to the bench to get checked out. Do you know if that is true or not?

I'll eat my words on this one--UAA was the much better team tonight. They played harder and better defensively than CC. They killed penalties well and completely shut down the transition game. Because UAA played hard/well I believe this was the worst performance of the year by the Tigers.

Re: Nov 27th-28th UAA VS CC

Congrats Seawolves! Way to go Jonnie O! Get healthy guys, and lets rock the Sully with a Friday and Saturday win!!

Re: Nov 27th-28th UAA VS CC

Very sorry to hear about Vidmar's injury. Hope the prognosis is good and that the rehab goes well for next year. Oh yeah, nice win tonight.

Re: Nov 27th-28th UAA VS CC

Well the sweep chant worked the bad mojo :)

Looks like everything averaged out. Record at kitten vs our saturday nite special vs ranked team. Congrats on the split.

in the last 10 meetings, CC leads 8-2-0 ... the last UAA win on the road against the Tigers was on Dec. 8, 2006 (5-4 OT) ... In the last 10 outings, UAA and CC have went into overtime on four occasions, with CC winning three

Suze, I'm curious as to whether you read Rich's take on what actually happened. He explained that the penalty was called, THEN a UAA player pushed a DIFFERENT CC player into the goalie, which was what caused the injury. Two separate incidents within just a few seconds. Look, I know you always think the officials are out to get UAA, but they truly are not. So get over it.

Congrats to UAA for earning a split. It shows a lot of character to bounce back from the dismantling they were handed on Friday, so I give them a TON of credit for doing just that.

Well, the UAA announcer and Shyiak both described something totally different. And I heard that the guy who ran into Bryce didn't play tonight, is that actually true or not?

The CC announcer was questioning some of the late 3rd period penalties on UAA tonight, and a CC fan actually wrote this on Donalds chat tonight:

Guest980 (guest): This is the minister/CC fan you all hate from WY. I know we don't like each other, but I'll eat some crow tonight. UAA played much harder and better than CC tonight. You killed penalties well (including some very questionable calls against UAA in the 3rd). Either way UAA probably deserved to win this game.

When your own fans and announcer also says the refs sucked, it makes ya wonder. Thanks for the congratulations anyway.
