Nov 27th-28th UAA VS CC

Re: Nov 27th-28th UAA VS CC

Thinking of UAA is there game film of the knee on Knee hit Brian McMillin on Vidmar...

It was only on the B2 network, GCI didn't cover it. And speaking of the CC/B2 feed, it was HORRIBLE. I was watching a tiger head and and old man humping air instead of watching the game. Pathetic.

As far as Vidmars injury, it really doesn't matter what the video shows. McMillin was called for kneeing. The rule book says that if a player is injured on that call, it HAS to be called a DQ. The refs called a 2 minute minor. They blew it again. Some WCHA refs need to be replaced.

Re: Nov 27th-28th UAA VS CC

I'm not sure what happened to him, but it was not due to Civitarese's penalty. The play that injured Christianson happened after Civitarese's penalty (by just a second or so). The puck came out to the left point, and Civitarese skated from near the far post across the crease to screen Christianson. However, at the same time Christianson skated from the near post up to the top of the crease - and they bumped a bit. Civitarese definitely deserved a penalty for the collision because he skated right through the paint and interfered with the goalie, but it was absolutely minor and couldn't have caused an injury. However, another Tiger was near the goal crease as well (near side), and was pushed down on top of Christianson's back by a UAA defenseman just a fraction of a second after Civitarese's bump. It was a very fast play. Puck to the point, Civitarese and Christianson colliding somewhat gently at the top of the crease, penalty, shot/whistle, UAA player push, CC player down on Christianson's back.

Watching Bryce with the trainer, it appeared he had a hard time standing up straight, so I bet he tweaked his back. Hope he is okay!

Shows what you know.

Yeah I'm just gonna go ahead and call this one an Epic Fail.

Look up the name DropThePuck on here and see what comes up.
Oh, so that's who DTP was. Not sure why I should have known that, but whatever.

Sorry, but he could be on here to defend himself just fine if it weren't for his own conduct on this board. The epic fail is not on my part.

It will be interesting to see if the WCHA takes any action on that. I think it was Rich who mentioned on the score thread that Vidmar was on the ice at the beginning of the ensuing PP for UAA, so at the time, the injury was not apparent, but obviously ended up being serious.

In any case, MCL tear (if I heard correctly) is really a shame, and I wish him well in his recovery.

Especially after 2 weeks ago a major bawl fest by a coach going on about a player who might not get to play the following week when they had a bye. Replay showed a clean check but player got a game suspension due to the call by the officials. A fan of that team called for a suspension to last as long as the injured player was out.
Well…we will see what Old Shep doles out if anything.

Are you sure he was injured on that hit. I mean, by your logic...

Try watching the video of the last 7 minutes of the game after the hit. Patrick played the rest of the game, regular shifts, right up to the horn!! If he were really injured, do you think your coach would have let him play, knowing the game was lost anyway?

He did play after the hit, right??? I am actually surprised it took this long for the whining about the refs to begin:(

Well, that is what Rich says. The B2 didn't cover squat. All I know is what Haider said, that he was on his hands and knees for some time (so it should have been clear to the ref an injury of some sort happened, like they assumed with Weirdcrotch). Then he was helped off the ice by the trainer. He may have tried to skate a shift to test his knee, but he left mid first period and did not return. Unlike Pat who played the entire game.

UAA was playing well early. The right call would have given them a full 2 minutes of 2 man advantage. Had they scored once or twice during a 5 minute major, it could have changed the complexion of the game. They are not a team that can come back easily.

They did not capitalize on the 5x3 time that they had, though.

The only people who were at the game and have said anything about the incident said that it was not readily apparent that Vidmar was injured. So I don't understand how you can blame the officiating for making the wrong call on the ice.

Re: Nov 27th-28th UAA VS CC

Joe Bair Occupation: UCC Minister hmmmmm….. Not nice to be name calling. Maybe .... "three weeks of intensive therapy” will make you straighten up.

Right...because the UCC (widely known as the most liberal denomination in the United States) has so much in common with right-wing Christianity and folks like Ted Haggard. Though I interpret your "three weeks of intensive therapy" comment to be an attempt to call me "gay" which leads me to believe that you yourself view being gay as something for which people ought to be ashamed. It's sad, but it doesn't surprise me considering that you reside in the state that elected Sarah Palin as governor and you your punk friends referred to Rapuzzi as "Rapussy" all night long in your chat room. Glad he scored twice against you.I stand by my assertion--your post was disgusting and Suze (at least in her interactions with me) has been a jerk.

More genuinely--I do wish the injured UAA players well in their recovery.

According to Haider, who is one of the best play by play guys, he said Vidmar laid on the ice for some time, then was helped off the ice, and went to the locker room. He never said anything about him coming back to the ice.

Regardless, it should be reviewed and the correct action taken.

Their 5 on 3 was only a minute long.

Vidmar took a serious hit, when it happened I did not know which part of his body was in pain but he laid on the ice face down for two or three minutes in obvious pain (scared the hell out of me). At first I thought he got hurt in the face because he was holding his hands to his face, but when he stood up and there was no blood I was less certain what happened to him. Regardless of what, how, who, when it happened, Brian would not do anything like that with intention to harm.

Saturday night's game concerns me. One of two thing will happen. UAA will show to play a game of hockey, or show to fight a boxing match. I hope they choose a game of hockey. I've got a bad feeling about how things will unfold tonight. With two important games next weekend CC does not need any players injured or suspensed if UAA decides to goon it up.

I doubt there will be a fight... unless it's on this thread:D . Looks like the numbers are real. I was hoping the PP% was a fluke but looks like kittens have improved tremendously this year. So congrats on the sweep. (or the miracle split).

CC outshot UAA, 29-24.

Both teams were whistled for six penalties apiece, serving 12 minutes in the box. UAA failed to score on six power-play opportunities, while the Tigers proved why they are the No. 1 team in the nation on the power play. CC two power-play goals improved its percentage to .316 with the man-advantage this season.

Pre-game festivities have begun, barley pop tastes good. I threw a punch....did you feel it? Or did I miss and just hit air?

Tig, two minutes for instiagation!!

Go Tigers!!

Prior to Friday’s game that statement is probably true….before tonight’s game …not true… kneeing is a dirty play, typically used to injure opponents by dirty players . That’s why it is a penalty. …….BRANDED DIRTY PLAYER
