Keith Aucoin with 2 assists tonight (including the go ahead goal early in the 3rd). Nice mention of Norwich and Coach McShane on the telecast.

lets hope he stays with the Ils next yr they look to be coming back, and im sure could use his experience

Keith was right in the middle of things for sure ... two great passes for the first assist on two of the Islanders goals ... too bad they went down ... he was on a roll!

Great game by Keith and the Isles, too bad it couldn't at least have gone to a game 7. Hoping Keith sticks with them for next year. If so, I will be at the Pepsi Center when they come to town.

I agree, it was just great to hear the mention of Norwich and Coach McShane. I was impressed with the Isles and Aucoin certainly did his part for his team.

The playoffs are stretched out because originally they were working on stretching out the season to align better with the possibility of joining the D-I Frozen Four with the D-III championship game.

The NCAA Playoffs were all going to single games on a weekend too. Playins would have been Saturday, Quarterfinals the following Saturday, Semifinals after that on Saturday all at the highest seeded campus site.

The Nov. 1 first date of competition also stemmed a little bit from that in hopes of the D-III/D-I combination.

As far as I know, Norwich will be playing Plymouth State in the first round. Originally, I think the thought was MSOE, but since that game won't count in the NCAA primary critera and they are likely hoping for an Amherst/Norwich final, that only left playing Plymouth State for the second time this year as the option.

Also, Plymouth State probably has a good chance at being an NCAA ranked team at the end of the year which NU is probably hoping to try and get two wins against.

Make it a 2-0 series lead for Reading as the Royals shutout Stockton 4-0 today with Nikita picking up an assist in the victory.

YUCK :( :( :( :(

I totally hate that. If they go to two weekends for the final four, then play two game series with the possible mini-game. That idea just stinks
