I suppose to forum activity is a bit of a self-feeding phenomena. I could definitely be more involved and active again.
Where are all the posts from Norwich supporters after a good 2 win weekend? Hope all are well and just too full from Thanksgiving feasting!
Looking forward to the Northfield Savings Bank Tournament this weekend, hope everyone is rested and healthy for the return to the ice. Have a Happy New Year everyone, may it improve from the past two. Be safe!
Since the info release indicated that a way was searched for to allow the tournament to continue, and that next weekends games are (so far) still on, it sounds like the problems originated outside of Norwich.
while I would much rather be at the game, I certainly understand. As far as any fans lost over this, I won’t miss them one bit.

I said Norwich’s hands were tied and this was not a dig at them. It’s a dig at the crazy regulations that are being taken 2 years after with little signs they are working. These are student athletes lives and hard work and time on the line, stop tying organizations hands so there is nothing they can do unless they are a huge biz that can handle the issues…Two months ago everyone cared about the lack of fans so I’m showing this is definitely a factor in losing fan interest. So maybe quit your whining about fans if you don’t care?!
Prez this was no dig at you, far beyond any of your control so sorry if it came off that way. Thanks for all your hard work as always.
I had a feeling this might happen since the Norwich web site, did not do a preview of the teams over the last couple of days. Don't know what to say... not a good beginning of 2022. I agree with jerrynu 26 that it sounds like the problems originated outside of Norwich itself. I hope they didn't cancel it because they could not have fans in the seats. A streamed game is better than no game and I gladly would have paid to watch if income was a necessity. Alas, I think the other teams may have gotten some Covid cases and maybe there is an outbreak in the Northfield area itself. Hope everyone recovers okay. Darn tired of this illness!! Who would have thought that it would last 2+years.
As to fans leaving, they are not true fans in the first place. You don't see all the hockey programs shutting down and the players quiting do you? Just like the "Field Of Dreams", if Norwich is playing, I will watch!
Could agree more, when will it end??? Policies that seem to go nowhere and results that don't justify the polices.....Well I guess you can watch Oswego this weekend along with Augsburgh....Skidmore vs Canton at 4pm...oz at 7pm
'Schools (not NU) are making fear based knee jerk decisions which don’t seem to match any data/science.

Part of the problem is that people keep trying to weaken the restrictions and as they are weakened things continue to get worse. One of the worst things that was done was not vaccinating people in the the Southern Hemisphere, so that the variants could developed through unchecked transmission during their winter, while we had a summer lull in the northern hemisphere. What happens - out of South Africa comes a new variant. We are far too impatient to have this thing over, and our impatience (plus the needless political posturing) has led us to a situation in which this thing will be around forever. I've taught courses in biostatistics that include information about epidemiology. The response to this challenge has been the issue. We actually did very well wrt transmission when everybody isolated and wore masks. As people became tired of it, things went sideways. In some ways we are no more advanced than we were in 1918 with the Spanish flu -
