after a decent start, UNH is winless in their last 11 gms... they're so due for a W. please let it not be this Friday.

To any other fellow Buffalo area Huskies - I talked to Mes Que on Hertel today, they said they can put the game on Monday at 5. 1420 Hertel Ave in North Buffalo. I will be there for the first half of the game at least. If anyone gets there before me - NESN is on DirecTV channel 628. And hopefully we'll get to meet there the following Monday too!
 
McBain75, to take nothing away from your post.. & i hope the Huskies give you and others something to smile about come Monday. I just had a request to them before then -

Heh absolutely! Need two points against UNH especially after last weekend. Hockey East is there for the taking, this team has the talent, it's time to turn it up and take care of business.

Anyone else have this problem for those who live outside of NESN coverage.

I went to Buffalo Wild Wings where I've seen NU games on NESN before, and it turned out that the game against UMass was blocked (probably a sign from above since that game was an abortion). I went to Applebee's and NESN was blocked but the game was on DirectTV 623 which is Eleven Sports Network?!?

For those not in Boston, Northeastern is hosting watch parties in NYC, northern NJ, Austin, TX, West Palm, and Washington, DC (Crystal City), and maybe other places. Info and registration at https://alumni.northeastern.edu/events/

I can personally guarantee that the one in WashDC is always a good time.

Eleven Sports picked up the NU@UMass game you referred to, which might explain why it was blocked on NESN. Don't know much about that network but it's on my FiOS package and seems to have the Swedish Hockey League along with an occasional NCAA game.

I don't have directTV, I have Spectrum is is not one of NESN's providers. So each Beanpot I end up at B Dub's or Applebee's.

The latter would explain why. Usually the day after the Super Bowl is pretty quiet so there's not much competition for the tv.

BWW for me too. They've even put on the sound for me in the past for 8pm games when it gets late into the 3rd period and the place clears out. February Mondays are always slow sports days for non-Beanpot people so I never have a problem.

Last year the bartender asked me why they would hold this the day after the Super Bowl?!? I answered the tournament is older than the Super Bowl. (and they started having Super Bowls in February after 9/11)

Well I think we are definitely better than UNH. If we play the way we are we should get some goals. UNH scored on a well executed play with the screen in front of Primeau.

Let's go huskies, 1 goal deficit is not the end of the world
 
tirone is a solid G. gotta screen him, get a deflection type, something. he is seasoned; dont want to get too far behind. we started okay, just did not execute. hopefully some better hockey coming up.

We are quicker, stronger, and controlling the play. I will be disappointed if we don't win this game. 1-1 after 2 periods.
