Northeastern Huskies 2010-2011 Season Thread

Re: Northeastern Huskies 2010-2011 Season Thread

Section A is the ticket I have, Blackman has them on sale, I think it should be there (though the student had no idea they were on sale, the guy in the back had to get them). Providence doesn't seem to really care where you sit, we brought about as many fans as Providence did last year.

Why did you do that? Just get your ticket there (no one goes anyway) and you can use your student ID and pay a student price. I've been paying student prices for almost 10 years now!

Re: Northeastern Huskies 2010-2011 Season Thread

I have to commend NU for their new ticket system. I said it in the BC thread and you can stop if you have read it there already but...

The idea of physically selecting your own seats is something as a sports fan I have been craving for, for years. Kudos to NU for getting it done before other schools with larger budgets.

Looking forward to Saturday.

i am too, my first visit to Matthews in a very, VERY long time.........my niece is a recent alum who told me connor larkin's is good for pregame grub. i'm sure there's no shortage of places though. anyone else's opinion here on it?

Re: Northeastern Huskies 2010-2011 Season Thread

Memory serves me right (and it probably does not) I think the section we usually sit in is JJ, its to the right of the away/our bench if you are looking at it from the ice. the place is small and we should be able to sit wherever we please, so even if you have a ticket in another section you should be fine.

UNO's is right there too. there's also Champion's at the Copley Marriott.

in case you didn't get to see the Acadia game, Rawlings debuted some new pads... maybe they'll distract a few people this year.

Rawlings debuted the Reebok Revokes in all red with the black graphic down the middle. Mountain kept his Vaughn V3's from last year and I believe Witt is going with the Bauer One100's. Witt was still wearing his old pads in the Acadia game, but I saw a box with his name on it at Matthews the other day and this is what I think they'll look like.

Witt was also still rocking his sioux falls helmet

Im not one for preseason rankings but NEHJ has us down as 9th in the league. They also have MC 3rd, UMass 5th, and BU 6th. Just figured I would mention it. Any word on what the lines are going to look like tonight vs PC?

I think they've been drinking with Saponari and the Spawn of Ulfie.

Re: Northeastern Huskies 2010-2011 Season Thread

To all my Northeastern friends and acquaintances, I wish you much luck this season! I am back in Colorado with my CC hockey "family", and I have my season tix again. As much as I'm looking forward to seeing my Tigers again, it is kind of bittersweet. I came to love NU in my time out there, and as we all know, there is NO place like Matthews Arena! I'm hoping to get out there sometime this season, and I'm starting off the season tonight by wearing my NU hat with my CC jersey to the game!

Re: Northeastern Huskies 2010-2011 Season Thread

Thnks JS.. gluck & all the best at CC. Hope the Tigers give Denver a run for it sometime :). Nice reading your posts all this time & pls continue commentary from time to time.

Re: Northeastern Huskies 2010-2011 Season Thread

I didn't think tomorrow's game against BC was going to sell out...I am wondering if anyone may have an extra ticket they want to sell.
Thanks!

Re: Northeastern Huskies 2010-2011 Season Thread

Gm against BC earlier this yr (Feb), sold out as well. So did the Nov contest against the Terriers last season. Matthews Arena now only holds approx 4670 odd seats. Your best bet (if someone does not contact you), is to come to the arena about an hour before game time & ask around. G'luck

Re: Northeastern Huskies 2010-2011 Season Thread

Thanks for the information; I'll definitely try that tomorrow.

Re: Northeastern Huskies 2010-2011 Season Thread

Win or lose tonight.. injury toll seems bad.

Alex Tuckerman, Justin Daniels, Tyler McNeely all out of the PC gm right now. We do not need to make it easier for the Eagles tomorrow.. but this might turn out to be ugly.

Re: Northeastern Huskies 2010-2011 Season Thread

Well ladies and gentlemen, we may be in for a long season.

Any word on all these injuries?

And overall it hasn't been a good night so far in HE, as far as the PWR are concerned at the end of the season...

Aren't I just the negative nancy tonight?

Regardless of the result, let's hope this and the doghouse lights a fire under this team for tomorrow.

Re: Northeastern Huskies 2010-2011 Season Thread

Couldn't have said it better myself... This could be a questionable season...

Cronin has less than 24 hours to teach these individuals how to play like a team.

Re: Northeastern Huskies 2010-2011 Season Thread

So much talent, so little cohesion. Tomorrow may be ugly, or amazingly surprising.

Re: Northeastern Huskies 2010-2011 Season Thread

Well the atmosphere will be identical to that which it was against BU this time last year... and Rawlings flourished on it then...

Well said NJ2NU... with the season starting like it has, it opens the door for an enormity of surprise.

After watching the first "game" and hearing the second, I really like Ferriero, Oleksiak and Eibler.

I say we give these boys another shot tomorrow to connect with each other.
