It was 5 points, I think. Still a positive weekend.
...Are they really going to put on another too-late second half charge?
Now Ws in five of the last seven. So, maybe. UVM usually gives NU fits.
And suddenly up to 18 in the PWR. Order your NCAA regional tickets now!
I love your optimism but UVM isn't really the best barometer or litmus test. We will see. More to follow. I'm happy my under 10 win season will likely not come to fruition.
I love your optimism...
...does anyone know if the Beanpot is going to be streaming on ESPN+ for those that live outside of New England?
...all I can say is that NU must be the Jekyll/Hyde of college hockey.
And now, the J/H syndrome goes period-to-period, not just game-to-game. How a team can dominate in one period and look like beer leaguers in the next is beyond me.
Both goals Whitehead gave up were tipped in front. The Makar goal he gave up was where he was screened heavily and couldn’t see past Makar and Makar tipped it. So I don’t think Whitehead can be faulted for either goal he gave up. You would put that on the defensemen not boxing out the players in front of Whitehead. He is a bright spot on NU. I think there is a lack of work ethic and getting to the dirty areas for NU. They appear to be soft and lacking effort, not great qualities for a team.Whitehead might have some liability on one goal but when the apparent game plan is for your goalie to pitch a shutout and somehow score at least one goal, it's probably not going to be a good night. Especially when you go 0-6 on the PP and can't convert on a 2-on-0 breakaway.
Hoping for a Monday Miracle.
No...this team is perhaps the he worst in 15 or 20 years. The program and coaching is kinda where it was in the early Cronin yearsYer fellas gonna win Monday or what??
Agreed because they have only two chances, slim and none. Likely the he worst team in nearly two decadesNo posts on the Beanpot thread since Jan. 10. Can't remember so little interest at this point. Very little hype from the BP schools as well.
