One of the crimes for which you can be charged with capital murder in Texas, and face lethal injection, is killing of a child. I'd suggest this dude better get ready for the alcohol swab.

Social workers and other pros run into this kind of case everyday: live-in boyfriend torturing/killing a kid that's not his, while his "needy" mother does nothing about it. He's "there" for her, don't you know. Whatever he gets, she deserves also.

This baby died after more than a month in agony. Would anyone be surprised if the boiling came at the end of a series of "accidents" that put the baby in the emergency room over and over again? Or that his post mortem will reveal fractures and other old injuries?

Makes my stomach turn.

Superior teen cleared of sexual assault charge

A Superior woman reported July 31 that a man had entered her home and sexually assaulted her at gunpoint, according to the criminal complaint against Lawrence. At first she said the assault occurred July 13, but later said it must have been July 20 after seeing a listing of her cell phone calls on those two days, the complaint said.

Sounds like she just picked a random person, this kid had to change schools, go to counseling, five days in jail and more for it...

Woman sues McDonald's over Happy Meals

Michael Jacobson, CSPI's executive director accused McDonald's of "one of the most insidious marketing practices–dangling a toy in front of a small child." Jacobson called the practice "unfair, deceptive and illegal' in California and many other states. "The food industry has a responsibility not to intrude into families by using sleazy marketing techniques getting kids to pester their parents."

Jacobson compared the tactics to tobacco companies marketing to kids with things like Joe Camel. "In this instance, McDonald's is worse. They are going straight at little kids. The company is using unfair techniques to persuade the kids to persuade the parents to go to McDonald's. Tobacco companies don't go after 3 year-olds. Neither does Coca Cola or Pepsi."

Re: Nice Planet 2010

I just came here to post the same thing. Redamndiculous.

I disagree. I think most of us NEED a pernicious, know-it-all schmuck fanatic like Michael Jacobson to tell us what to eat and how much of it we're allowed to eat. Pass the low cal Kool-aid, putz.

No joke, a guy was going 20 mph right as we're about to go from the onramp to 35W. I'm tailing him a bit, but not to the point where it's dangerous, just enough to tell him "hurry the **** up." He slams on his brakes, parks the truck, gets out and starts charging my car.

I freak out. I'm honestly trying to figure out if he has a gun or any other weapon. I'm weighing my options and trying to decide, "fight or flight." I'm thinking I have two options: Run him over or back up the on ramp. No one was immediately behind me on the on ramp and I start to back up. He keeps charging. By this point I'm in full panic mode. For a split second, I consider just driving right through the moron because I'm going to have to defend myself otherwise. Luckily, retard gets back into his car and drives off.

People are ******** nuts.

This is a **** fine reason why conceal and carry makes sense. There are psychopaths out there. While this situation itself would not have called for it, it definitely has me thinking about applying for one.

The other kids shouldn't have to miss out on having Santa show up

http://bringbackamerica.org/2010/12...m-class-to-avoid-offending-muslim-immigrants/

The problem is that we live in constant fear of somebody believing we are bad people... that's what a lot of these movements are about... avoiding the shame and stigma of having some people believe that you are evil or mean... which really is an unfair lever to wield against good people but its certainly one that has shaped and currently curving our society. Liberals act in these ways because they want to avoid being bad people... but in the end we end up with this unfun nihilist society.

No, they shouldn't. Santa is a secular not a religious figure. And 92% of Americans observe Christmas, a figure that exceeds the number of Christians in our society. So what's the big problem? The tiny number of folks who woud object to Santa are free to stay home. "Madness, madness"

Well, you can't say he's entirely secular, being as Santa Claus is just the Dutch name for St. Nicholas. Still... who cares. He's not there to preach about Christ in his modern form, he's there to bring you presents and tell you to celebrate time with those you love.

Also, I don't see why Muslims would have a problem with celebrating the birth of their prophet Jesus. It's not an acknowledged holiday in Islam as far as I know, and they'd have to celebrate it differently (not sure that they believe Jesus is the son of God), but they respect the guy. If anything, the ban would be more appropriate for a classroom full of Jews or Buddhists.
