NHL hockey returns to the 'Peg! Maybe?

Re: NHL hockey returns to the 'Peg! Maybe?

How do Minnesotans feel about "Wild"? I've always thought it was one of the stupidest names in sports, which is a shame, since Minnesota North Stars was an outstanding name.

I like it. Sure North Stars would have been better but that wasn't an option.

I don't like the name, of the finalists I would have picked Voyageurs, but doesn't really roll off the tongue either. I have gotten used to the name, however, and have always loved the logo.

I pretty much agree with this.

The logo is great. I just don't like the name. I don't really complain about it too much anymore. Almost like I don't really notice it anymore.

I remember being glad that they didn't pick "Freeze."

Never disliked the name as much as most (though I will agree with your sentiments about Voyageurs), but I have to admit that I LOVE the logo. I particularly like the way it was adapted with the circle for the third jerseys.

The third jerseys are awsome. The whites were very good, the all-green can burn in hell.

I think these are great:

These are slightly less ugly Devils sweaters (red and green always look horrible together):

They just forgot the most important part about supporting a team, going to games and making sure their team has money to stay afloat.

What's that now? I love how people think they know the whole story:

Huh, look at that, the people have donated their own money - twice - to save the team. How 'bout CoG try that next? Bet that'll go over well...

I've liked every uniform they've used, but these are my two favorites.

Then there's the Frolunda Indians HC jersey from Gothenburg Sweden with a hostile and abusive logo on the Wild's white template and the same number font :)

Which is what every Wild and Wings fan should want to see. Detroit would move to the East and MN would take Detroit's spot in the central and Winnipeg would be in the NW. It wouldn't be bringing the old Jets franchise back to Winnipeg, which I think is part of the appeal, but an NHL team is an NHL team.
