NHL 2024: SLC Puck

The fact that the opening night game is a 1:30p local start with a west coast team is a glaring example of the NHL being run by idiots.

Let’s see, Kraken outshoot Blues 32-25, lose 3-2. Yup, Seattle is in mid season form already!

Don’t want to hijack the hurricane thread, but I wonder what the NHL’s plan is if Milton damages Tampa’s arena enough they can’t use it long term?

It would be great if we removed all the pro Tampa franchises at once; they're all awful. Move them all to Hartford permanently.

After a period, Macklin Celebrini is on pace for 246 goals and 492 points. Probably the best Sharks day since 2019.

Congratulations on goal #200 to my favorite Norwegian hockey player (and Edina neighbor) mats zuccarello. Quite a career for being undrafted. Also the most goals of any Norwegian

Refs in mid season form

tanev runs brodin, falls, and brodin called for a trip, and Seattle scores on the pp. right after some ass elbowed Ericsson ek and sent him out of the game and no call. Thr goal was kicked in by Seattle but not overturned.

Seattle is not that good and this shouldn’t be close, but fleury ain’t having a great night either

I’d actually be inclined to keep wheeling Fleury out there and not rush Wallstedt and potentially start his clock for resigning a year early. They’re not winning anything this year and you’ve already got too much money tied up on old guys.
