Sure as a Rangers fan, I'm biased. :-) But this is pretty much how I see it. The refs were calling penalties in OT for both teams, including that one at the end of regulation. And quite frankly, none of them were absurd calls. They both had opportunities. And wow did Carolina have two amazing shorthanded chances on that last regulation PP.

The only thing that tkachuk actually connected on all night. In spite of the rest of the team, he visibly sucked most of the night.

But it was also funny how marchand was treated to his own game, too. Didn't like it much.

Given how Boston-Florida has progressed, one wonders how this series will heat up some more. They were getting testy without actually fighting. But that pandoras box was laid open in Florida.
 
Skinner gets a "playing the puck outside of the trapezoid" penalty.

I don't think I've seen that for many years.

I suspect they'll calm down on the particularly rough stuff on Friday. The taunting won't stop but I'd be surprised of Boston continues to take the bait after seeing how poorly that's gone for them.

Maybe for the first half of the first period. Just a few well timed hard hits, and all bets are off. Florida is taunting Boston just like Boston taunts everyone else, and they know it gets under their skin.

I like Mountaineers the most of this list.

Caribou would be too much like the Manitoba Moose.

So, they'll likely settle on Yeti.
 
Singular team names* are cringe, so I'm sure they'll choose one.

Mountaineers is the best on that awful list. Black Diamonds is fine. Glaciers is cromulent. Everything else is either boring (Ice, Freeze, Frost), stupid (Fury, Mammoth, Squall), or so derp it's insulting (Outlaws, Venom).

Sister Wives gets my vote.

* Hive is the one exception here, grandfathered for Utah, but I'd just go with Bees and watch Boston have a collective stroke.
 
I like Black Diamonds too, but I think it'll be rejected as being too similar to Golden Knights. 'Yeti' has good rhythm with Utah. Mountaineers sounds like they didn't even try and I'd rather they go with Outlaws if they go more generic. It keeps with the sinning theme of Utah teams for the lulz, particularly since they will share a new building with the Jazz. It fits within the context of history as well (the Mormon Wars, polygamy, et al).

Utah Raptors would be perfect, since that’s an actual animal. But it seems like that was never an option, probably due to Toronto. Which is annoying because they’re only named that because of the hype from Jurassic Park.
