Just saw on the ESPN ticker that Winepeg’s coach retired. Better than getting fired, I suppose.

These were the lines for their exhibition game against Slovakia today. A game which the US won 6-2. Shame it took some serious googling to find that out.Lines announced for USA
Never quite notice how specific pronunciations are until they’re spelled out.
I have always said I'm a jinx so I was surprised when I watched game 4 of the Toronto series, they won. So I figured - eh, I'll watch game 7. After Toronto scored in the third, I changed the channel. Plus it was Holy Saturday so I was getting ready to go to church at 11:30pm. A friend texted me while I was in church that the tied it and that they won. I figured if I hadn't watched at all, they may have won in regulation.
I made a specific effort to not watch last night, plus I had a plethora of shows on my DVR. I did follow on Twitter and was pleasantly surprised to see that Brandon Carlo scored. His wife had a baby earlier in the day and the Bruins flew him down to Florida shortly thereafter and he made it in time for the game. I read that Pasta grabbed the puck for him so he can give to his newborn son. I like stories like that.

The whole thing went chalk, so that means San Jose won the first drawing and Chicago the second?
And San Jose gets two picks in the top 14.
Worse, the actual World Championships games are on NHL Network, a channel that almost no one gets.I couldn't find much either. There wasn't even a stat tracker. USA Hockey just linked to a Slovakian website with a live stream and the game was already over at that point.

It's like USA Hockey doesn't want anyone to watch anything ever (they do the same thing with the WJC).
There was a Canadian YouTuber that was always pretty dependable. For the World Juniors there's usually at least one Canadian PO'd enough at Bell to be streaming, for the Worlds it's pretty impossible.I miss being able to pretty easily find a stream from some Russian kid a bunch of pages deep on YouTube. Little harder to come by now.
Thanks, Putin.
It's Comcastic!Worse, the actual World Championships games are on NHL Network, a channel that almost no one gets.
Pretty soft call leading to the 2OT winner. Surprise surprise, the “rules expert” (aka a retired ref) agrees with what is called. There’s seriously no point to having these dinks involved in the broadcast. They’re in lockstep with the officials no matter what every single time.
