That would be epic for me- my two favorite teams as a kid. (yea, I picked the dominant teams of the time... I was a kid, and the closest team sucked).

For sure, it would be pure entertainment- with partial heartbreak for the team who loses.

We are there. A bounce here or there in any of Games 2, 3, or 7, and we could have cheered the boys on in the Cup Finals. Disappointing result, but nice to see: (1) this team is talented enough to win a Cup; and (2) last year was not a fluke. Next season...

I would have been happy with either the Lightning or Islanders to win the Cup. I like how they play better. Shrug.

I agree. Last year was a Miracle Run. This year we belong.

We were in the SF in 75, 76, 77, and 79 before breaking through.

I think I heard both these stats mentioned last night, no game 7 in the Stanley Cup playoffs had been a 1-0 final score with the lone goal short-handed, and the Isles had not given up a single shorty all year. That is a tough way for the season to end.
