You've got to feel for the Golden Knights fans. It's been a long four years of existence since the NHL rolled out the red carpet for them.

All that suffering takes a toll - people there have easily aged 5 years during their existence.

J. Lemaires with 2? Both Bobby Smith and Neal Broten both score a winning goal 4 years after a SC final loss with the North Stars.

Apparently basketball just has better personalities than hockey.

Better? No.

But given their histories and Twitter accounts, you gonna go with ...

"Welcome to the NHL on TNT studios where Wayne Gretzky and I are joined tonight by Paul Bissonnette and Mike Commodore. Commy, what'd you think of the first period?"

Before Commy can get the second word out ...

Bisso: "Hey Wayne, if you're so Great One how come ya never fought me?"
Commy: "Bisso, what the < bleep >, I was talking."

Live, on-camera 'yard sale' ensues.

Kessler, Bieksa, Sharp, Moore, Osgood?

I appreciate the insight that MLB Network has utilized in bringing in recent talent to explain the game. Sure they do have the "older" players as well, but the "younger" guys have done the carrying of the water on the network. Even ESPN has started to come around on the MLB front.

I really wished the NHL broadcasters would have done the same.
