Eh, NBC is going nowhere quickly. Shelving NBCSN, and they’re facing competition from ESPN and CBS for their PL coverage too. Any deal with NBC was gonna mean lots of games on Peacock. Given their NBA coverage, Turner isn’t a bad place to be at, especially at the price that’s being thrown around.
 
Sounds like CBS is not part of the Turner deal, which means at the moment the Stanley Cup Final will only be on network TV (ABC) every other year.

Also seeing HBO Max is involved on the Turner side.
 
So here’s the question: Turner wants a format similar to their NBA coverage (not a bad idea, Inside The NBA is great), but who has enough personality in the hockey world to be “fun”?

Ryan Carter for one. Which 2 dudes promote vodka? They might still be playing though.
