30% becomes 60% because there's a good chance that field position came into play after the 1st possession. Fact is the 60% figure is more important and more telling than the 30%, regardless of which possession won the game.

To be clear though I am not arguing in favor of the new OT rules, just saying the above does nothing to defend the prior OT rules.

Interesting to note that in OT, before 1994 when they moved the kickoff back 5 yards, the coin flip was relatively insignificant.

That's the fault of the 3 teams then (out of ten), play defense and stop somebody. GLM said it, football isn't all about offense.

The Eagles aren't going to win 8 games this year with the 2 QBs they have now.

Tell that to the guys who write the NFL rule book. Every change is designed to make more offense, passing in particular.

And trading your QB to a division rival is epic stupidity.

Wait...the Eagles traded away their franchise QB and didn't even get a first round pick??? This isn't Easter, its XMas for the 'Skins

He has missed a lot of games in the last couple years. I doubt he was still worth a 1st rounder.

I don't know what to think of the trade, as it's hard to feel excited about any move as long as Snyder is the owner and everything that occurs is tainted with his taint. Makes for an interesting run up the to season though.

I heard the baby waited until well into the third trimester to decide whether he wanted to be a boy, a girl, or to just stick around in the womb for another few months.
