No, I'm saying is he's more of an all-or-nothing back to me (see: Barry Sanders). They laud his breakaway skills, but if you only have 2 db's to beat, because everyone else is sitting at the line of scrimmage, well, of course you're gonna have a bunch of long runs and look good.

Granted, a lot of that has to do with blocking schemes also, but they're ready to put this guy in the HOF, and I'm not sure he isn't just a one-year superstar.

**** right about that. Put Barry behind a line like what Emmitt had in Dallas and his numbers would be even more rediculuse because he wouldn't have had so many tackles for loses. Emmitt was only good for that long because he was playing behind a line thats agrueably one of the best ever assembled, and having Troy Aikmen throwing the ball to Irwin ment that teams couldn't just focus in on him.

There was nobody better than Barry. Emmitt Smith put up stats running thru holes that his grandma could have ran thru.

I saw the Bills marketing slogan for this year. It is "A Season to Believe." I believe that they are going to be awful. I hate that my team is the joke of the league. Ugh.

The Lions have a lot of good young talent. Stafford, Suh and other draft picks. They have a great foundation and may surprise a few people. We spent our pick on a friggin kick returner. Chan Gailey was the wrong choice to coach. I wanted Russ Grimm and not a retread.

I have a great fear that the Bills could become the Expos if the strike does happen. All the signs are there. It's a small market and there is not much money. It could be Hello LA for this franchise.

He has fallen for the oldest trick in the NFL. Every year this is the Lions year to "surprise" people with their "good young talent". The Lions are to the NFL what Kansas City is to MLB.

The Bills did more in 4 years in the 90s than the Lions have done in the last 50 years...so "They're not the Lions" is apropos!

Although I agree with Handy's astute observation, I think DET will be improved this year. I really like the coaching and the talent level has improved immensely. Sadly working against them on paper is a pretty tough division and only 2 non-division potential cupcakes (STL and TB).

The Bills aren't constantly having to play games with ticket sales in order to avoid being blacked out... The team is already struggling... If you tick off a bunch of fans by not playing, that's it...

They look decent on offense. They might even average 25-28 a game. They're going to give up 45 points and 600 yards every week, though.
