Whether it was Cincy a few years back, the Saints last year or the Pack or Pats a while back, what I look for in a team that has had several miserable seasons in a row is some leadership and an indication they are heading in the right direction. I'd say, despite what their record may be, the Lions are heading out of the swamp they were in and have the potential to be good in the future. Couldn't say that when Millen was there...no guarantee they will do it or will stay there but I'd say the cup is 33% full

And Gunther Cunningham is going to murder one of the safeties not named Louis Delmas sometime in November. They're about a 5-win team. Progress, I suppose.

San Antonio... Oklahoma City... Orlando (if the Jags don't move there first.) :D

The NFL wants back into L.A. and the ownership situation in Buffalo will be precarious once Ralph Wilson passes on. (Tom Golisano can't keep bailing out WNY teams.) I bet you the NFL will sacrifice Buffalo so they can get back into the #2 TV market.

BTW.. can we have the Bills play with 12 this season? Just an idea.

The problem is that LA doesn't want football. The reason Houston has a franchise is because LA didn't get their act together.

Well, USC is kind of like a professional team - which is probably one reason why Pete "Jacked and Pumped" Carrol beat a hasty retreat before the NCAA investigators showed up.

To be fair, DLinemen don't run 300 yards in entire games sometimes. I think Shanahan is trying to prove a point. Still, Haynesworth needs to get his act together.

Sam Bradford is in for 6 yrs, $78 mil. Things should start to fall into line now.

wow that is a lot of money for a team with a dozen holes and a guy that probably should spend a year on the bench learning, no matter who the starter would be.
