I don’t see how he’s doing this on $100 million only. Even cheaply run sports leagues can lose that in a year.

He's probably looking for places with good media markets, stadiums ready to go, and distaste/anger with the NFL.
Guessing St. Louis, San Diego, LA, Orlando, somewhere in the Carolinas, somewhere in the NY/NJ menagerie, somewhere in the Deep South, and somewhere in Texas.

And the NFL used their might to squash the USFL in the courts (looking at end result, not the cause of the whole thing to begin with). It bankrupted the USFL.

My buddy took a pic of me hanging from a rope while on the way down from topping out. The rope was anchored a little ways out from the cliff (not ideal normally, but an easy climb), and there I am staring at the hills of western GA from the northeast corner of AL.

As a grown adult, it took me about 4-5 years, 8 hours a day, to get used to moving around at 24 feet up at work, with a safety harness. I had what they call "magnet shoes" during that time.* Wild Thing at Valleyfair freaks me out. Heck that old white rollercoaster freaked me out. Too high.
*Think if you were wearing shoes with hardcore magnets, and walk around like that. Big step, CLOMP.
