Re: NFL 2018-19: Let's Be Honest, Jerrah is the Real Commissioner.

I can't stand any NE based fan- their BS over the Sox when the Cubs issues had been longer and far worse killed me. They are the whiniest set of fans in the US.

Off topic, but what? Everyone I knew here was super excited for the Cubs when they won the WS. Perhaps I'm misunderstanding you. (I've no complaint with the rest of your post - for a variety of reasons I find my fellow Patriots fans to be mostly insufferable.)

It was when they won in 2004, when they tried to frame themselves as some suffering team, even though they have had WS opportunities in the time they had not won. Whereas the Cubs had not. The HBO special on that made me not like fans in NE. Lets not pretend that you are the most suffering fans in pro sports, when Cub fans are having a party in their outfield, and will not sniff a WS for another decade.

I think Cleveland gets that distinction of most suffered fans. Cubs fans are presumably Bulls and Blackhawks fans as well, so lots to cheer for there in recent decades. Also Epstein has the potential to build another winner. Cleveland has one title in like 50 years that they'd better hang onto like grim death because that team is now the worst in the league and the superstar who made it happen isn't coming back. Then there's the Browns and Indians of course...

I don't think Minneapolis/St. Paul is far behind...last titles were 1991 and 1987. Prior to that, I believe you have to go back to the Minneapolis Lakers to find one.

If I remember correctly, someone said they're now over 100 professional seasons with out a team making the championship game/series in their respective sport.

That's fair. Just adds to my contempt for NE sports fans.

(and it also brings up Sox fans got to celebrate a LOT with the Celtics and a few times with the Bruins, so hardly suffering)

The more baseball point is that NE fans "suffered" in their years, Cubs fans parties in the outfield.

And even that one is BS. #freedraymond

Correct.

Re: NFL 2018-19: Let's Be Honest, Jerrah is the Real Commissioner.

and obviously that requires ignoring the WNBA...

Also correct. If you consider that the same then we're in great shape here in Minnesota. If you don't like most of us don't then we're now the worst 4 major sport town in the country with Washington DC getting off the schneid last year when the Caps won the Cup.

Wow. Houston hasnt been good for a decade or more.

Houston hasn't existed for a decade.

I don't really keep up. Just saying, the Lynx don't exactly hit the news here.

They seldom hit the news here, too.

Since the Minnesota Twins won the World Series in 1991, here is the performance of the cities with the 4 major sports:

Boston: 11 Titles, 6 Runner-ups (1 pending) (Red Sox - 4 Titles; Bruins - 1 Cup, 1 Appearance, Celtics - 1 Title, 1 Appearance; Patriots - 5 Super Bowls, 5 Appearances)
Chicago: 10 Titles, 2 Runner-ups (Cubs - 1 Title; White Sox - 1 Title; Blackhawks - 3 Cups, 1 Appearance; Bulls - 5 Titles; Bears - 1 Appearance)
Dallas: 5 Titles, 4 Runner-ups (Rangers - 2 Pennants; Stars - 1 Cup, 1 Appearance; Mavericks - 1 Title, 1 Appearance; Cowboys - 3 Super Bowls)
Denver: 5 Titles, 2 Runner-ups (Rockies - 1 Pennant; Avalanche - 2 Cups; Nuggets - 0; Broncos - 3 Super Bowls, 1 Appearance)
Detroit: 5 Titles, 5 Runner-ups (Tigers - 2 Pennants; Red Wings - 4 Cups, 2 Appearances; Pistons - 1 Title, 1 Appearance; Lions - 0)
Los Angeles: 9 Titles, 6 Runner-ups (1 pending) (Angels - 1 Title; Dodgers - 2 Pennants; Ducks - 1 Cup, 1 Appearance; Kings - 2 Cups, 1 Appearance; Lakers - 5 Titles, 2 Appearances; Clippers - 0; Chargers - 0; Rams - 1 Appearance)
Miami: 5 Titles, 3 Runner-ups (Marlines - 2 Titles; Panthers - 1 Appearance; Heat - 3 Titles, 2 Appearances; Dolphins - 0)
Minneapolis/St. Paul: Nothing (Twins - 0; North Stars/Wild - 0; Timberwolves - 0; Vikings - 0)
New York: 8 titles, 8 Runner-ups (Yankees - 5 Titles, 2 Pennants; Mets - 2 Pennants; Rangers - 1 Cup, 1 Appearance; Islanders - 0; Knicks - 2 Appearances; Giants - 2 Super Bowls, 1 Appearances; Jets - 0)
Philadelphia: 2 Titles, 6 Runner-ups (Phillies - 1 Title, 2 Pennants; Flyers - 2 Appearances; 76ers - 1 Appearance; Eagles - 1 Super Bowl, 1 Appearance)
Phoenix: 1 Title, 2 Runner-ups (Diamondbacks - 1 Title; Coyotes - 0; Suns - 1 Appearance; Cardinals - 1 Appearance)
San Francisco/Bay Area: 7 Titles, 5 Runner-ups (Giants - 3 Titles, 1 Appearance; Athletics - 0; Sharks - 1 Appearance; Warriors - 3 Titles, 1 Appearance; 49ers - 1 Super Bowl, 1 Appearance; Raiders - 1 Appearance)
Washington, D.C.: 2 Titles, 1 Runner-up (Nationals - 0; Capitals - 1 Cup, 1 Appearance; Wizards - 0; Redskins - 1 Super Bowl)

Every city has at least 1 title, and 3 appearances in the championship. These 12 cities have combined for 70 Titles and 50 Runner-ups. That means the average city has 10 appearances, with 5-6 titles and 4-5 Runner-ups.

Uffda.

Re: NFL 2018-19: Let's Be Honest, Jerrah is the Real Commissioner.

The 4 majors are the only ones generally counted, due to media/popularity/etc.

And as was mentioned earlier, just because I think there is an argument to be made against Brady being the GOAT, does NOT take ANYthing away from his accomplishments. Dude's a freak. I will say Bill is the GOAT for coaches. The NFL changed rules because of him finding loopholes and such. That's just crazy. Then, getting his players to buy into a system (and things like Brady taking a little less, so the team could add more pieces), that's a helluva coach.

No, I don't have the hate that many do for NE. Why hate 'em? Because they're good? I hate the Yankees because they just buy everything, and if something doesn't pan out, oh well, buy the next big thing. NE doesn't do that. They just get the right pieces for their puzzle. Not the best.

FS23, summaries can be a very important trial tool. You must be kick-arse in that aspect of trial prep (if it's not all assigned to the paralegals, which I think is a mistake).

I'm sure you're being a Bills fan has nothing to do with it....
