Re: NFL 2009 Thread #2

Ok, here's a (maybe) tough one, since Boldin is hurt, but dunno if he's starting/playing:

REC TD's = 3. Yardage is 3 pts for the first 100, 2 pts for every 50 after that. We start 3 WR/TE (no specific TE position).

Gimme the three:

Larry Fitzgerald
Owen Daniels
Steve Smith (NYG)
Steve Breaston
Lance Moore
Pierre Garcon

I have my 3 in mind, but would like to hear a view from an outsider or three.

Edit: for the record, I traded for Fitz 2 weeks ago, and picked up Breaston week 2 for future use....drafted the rest. Doesn't matter, really, but the lineup does seem odd at first glance.

Pierre Garcon if Wayne is out this week.

Fitzgerald and Daniels are the other two. Only Steve Smith if Wayne is playing.

FLEX - Do I go with Manningham or Barber? I'm leaning toward Barber (he shouldn't do nothing two weeks in a row) and I'm wondering if Nicks will continue getting more looks.

Re: NFL 2009 Thread #2

It sounds like Andre Johnson will play this week, he had a full practice yesterday. So now the question is do I start a banged up, but playing Andre Johnson or a newly minted BrettFarve favorite target in Sidney Rice? (My other 2 receivers that I am going to start are Marques Colston and DeSean Jackson)
I like the name Breaston for some reason...
I do too, but I know the reason.

And that is why the Rams are winless.

Rams player picks off the Lions in the endzone, starts to return the ball, gets out of the endzone, re-enters the endzone and gets tackled for a safety.

3-2 Rams lead.

NFL officiating's almost as bad as the college game. Way to miss the helmet jerk on the ball carrier, a-holes.

And this is why the Lions have won two games since the midway point of the 2007 season:

Fake 54 yard field goal turns into a touchdown pass by Jeff Brown.

10-2 Rams. I can't tell if the Lions are playing or if Dontrelle Willis is walking people again.

Re: NFL 2009 Thread #2

Watching the Red Zone channel, I'd prefer not to hear about Dallas Clark being "forklifted" again.

Re: NFL 2009 Thread #2

ahh okay.

Didn't matter to me as long as Reggie got the TD for fantasy:)

Ya, Peyton got me none, so I'm in a nailbiter against the first place team in my league with my potential to go to 1-7 on the year resting in the hands of SD D and Steve Breaston, against his Drew Brees tomorrow night.
