Re: NFL 2009 (or, in Super Bowl nomenclature, MMIX)

(pssst, I was only half-kidding. Besides, I'm in a pretty-much-TD-only league)

TD, what're them? /Lions fan.

Too bad you can't get points for ridiculous ESPN headlines. I'm looking at you Mendenhall.

If you look at the current jerseys.

And then the one Fran is wearing here, and Culpepper's, slightly different.

slightly.

i recall the duller purple from tark's days in SB IX of course. the numbers have always been white. now there is the yellow trim on the numbers, with the piping.

always a strong purple jersey though. purple people eaters were a tough defense. if anything you could claim now its a more modern edition.

I hope so. My RBs in FFL are studly this week: Slaton, Addai, Kevin Smith, Mendenhall. :D

Trouble is, now who do I start?? :o
I'm down 60 at the moment...and Mendenhall is already picked up. Though I do have 3 going tonight and 3 tomorrow, while he only has Holmes left. So there's still a chance for me...

I'll say this: I didn't expect to hear that on a national telecast.

Re: NFL 2009 (or, in Super Bowl nomenclature, MMIX)

The Bills are trying their best to get Sam Bradford.

Sadly, they'll probably pick Tim Tebow and Jauron will get an extension after going 4-12.

drew brees.

so to be super bowl winner!!:D

(we all know that mookie laid down and got 26-1 on the saints mid-august, right??)

Re: NFL 2009 (or, in Super Bowl nomenclature, MMIX)

I need a couple TD's from Gates and a couple from Ward...nothing from Holmes...

For the first time this year, my game is already over, and bonus! I won. :) Thank goodness I don't have to root for Rodgers to get me points tomorrow.

Re: NFL 2009 (or, in Super Bowl nomenclature, MMIX)

No TD's from Gates please:D

I would like to see some Phillip Rivers touchdowns though to ANYONE but Gates:cool:
I have both. :D

mookie...if Roethisberger doesn't wise up and start throwing to Ward in the end zone I will have to wish bad things for the stillers

i am surprised they are still throwing. though really the chargers can't stop the run either -- so it's not like running will wind down the clock any faster:p

I had a terrible week in FF, but somehow my opponent had a worse one. I had a slight lead before this game, with Rivers and the Vike's D left, my opponent has BrettFavre. This could get interesting.
