Re: New/Rented Movies: Insert Random Retread Of A Plot
I'm thinking that this is when he slams into the window? If so, I agree - was laughing my butt off.
The rest of the movie made me think that Sacha is out of ideas. We've seen all this before.
It was where he was talking with the nuclear guy about his Porsche/etc, on the helicopter tour. It was hilarious, because I could see something like that actually happening.
Warlords:
Chinese war epic. It was okay. Frankly, after seeing Red Cliff (international version) it's difficult to watch other Chinese war movies, as they just won't compare. The battle scenes were a bit drawn out (which is normal, from what I've seen in these types of movies), and the story was ok. There was just something missing that would make me really like it.
Nosferatu (1922 version):
Underwhelming. I did have high expectations, which probably affected my viewing of the movie. For its time, yes, quite horrific (similar to the original Night Of The Living Dead). It was just a bit simplistic for my tastes.
The Red Violin:
I really enjoyed it. It was kind of all over the map in the way it told the story, in the way of flashbacks and such, but it worked. I found it a little humorous that you have all these German, French, and Chinese actors, and then boom Samuel L Jackson is in it, too. Very random selection, in choosing Samuel, IMO. Would definitely recommend this one.
