New/Rented movies: Here comes the movie to change all movies

The Seventh Seal (Det sjunde inseglet (1957))

Film by Ingmar Bergman starring Max Von Sydow, who plays a knight on his way home from the crusades while trying to grapple with questions about life, faith, God and literally with Death himself. The film was full of symbolism, and given the settings, characters, time period and dialogue it felt like watching an adaptation of a play by Shakespeare. It was wonderful.

Saw "Couples Retreat" and "Eurotrip" over the weekend.

The former was okay, but we were only half-watching it, and were mayyyyybe under the influence. I'll probably watch it again, as it did look promising as a Saturday Afternoon Killer.

The latter was pretty dang funny for what it was (think "Road Trip"/"American Pie" type humor).

You've never seen Eurotrip before? Shame shame. It's a classic! haha

You forgot about Zombieland!

Zombieland rocked :)

Eurotrip was hilarious and was way better than that dreck Road Trip...yuck.

Both Eurotrip and Zombieland have friggin awesome cameos :D

Roadtrip was funny. It wasn't a modern classic by any means, but I wouldn't shut it off.

Agreed on the cameos. The shaved head/getup in Eurotrip had me in tears.

Really? I guess I just figured she was 18 or older. Mike was better looking. :D

I see what you did there. And I agree.

Speaking of good movies, Rescue Dawn just finished on the Sundance channel. *ing awesome movie.

I suppose I should watch "The Mist" and "Forgetting Sarah Marshall" in the next couple days, since I've had them since before the F5. :o

Edit: there was a reason hers was about the only boobs not shown in Eurotrip. ;)

Eurotrip is one of my favorite "feel good" movies ("The Hangover" might top it now though)...It's totally ridiculous and hilarious.
I did!

THAT was *ing hilarious! I'm definitely gonna watch that again. :)
Agreed - tcbg and I watched Zombieland a few weeks ago.

Was anyone else slightly disturbed with seeing the little girl from Little Miss Sunshine killing zombies? :p

Well, would you rather have the Zombie's eating her then?? Girl gotta make a living you know. ;)

Re: New/Rented movies: Here comes the movie to change all movies

In the middle of "The Mist" right now.

It's almost doing the story justice, but there's some bad acting going on, that's for sure.

About halfway through it right now, but obviously it's not capturing my attention like other King movies ("Misery," for example).
