NCAA West Regional - 3/25, 3/26 - BC, Michigan, UNO, CC

Re: NCAA West Regional - 3/25, 3/26 - BC, Michigan, UNO, CC

I didn't see that CC/BC game coming at all, but I knew that CC was playing well after their F5 performance.
Nice work CC!! Take out Michigan tomorrow now! :)

I'll give it to you that sue fans and Wiscy people are larger in the world of Hockey rivals to you but we all already know of your complete frustration in not being comparable to The University of Michigan. That's OK, everyone hates the best team. Why do you think everyone hates the Yankees?

I'm still waiting, when does Minnesota play?

Yeah, we didn't make the tournament this year. We get it. But as bad as the Gophers were this year, http://www.uscho.com/box/mens-hockey/2010/11/28/michigan-vs-minnesota/...

So you're claiming superiority bcause you won one game this year, against our back-up goalie? You actually dominated us in that game but you also lost to the "Husker-rejects" both times you played them this season. Michigan beat them two out of the 3 times we played.

Re: NCAA West Regional - 3/25, 3/26 - BC, Michigan, UNO, CC

A big congratulations to CC on their game tonight. As bummed as I am about the outcome of the game, if CC plays like they did tonight they could beat any team in the country. It makes me feel a little better that my team didn't lose as a result of an outside factor (like a bad call), and as far as I can tell we were simply outplayed. The credit in this game goes to Howe. He played well enough to get CC past BC's third period, which I think would have been enough to make BC win with most other goalies.

I think that overall BC is the better team, but it really doesn't matter. We were outplayed tonight when it mattered, and Colorado College deserves every minute of the games they play from here on out. Like I said, I am incredibly bummed, but CC deserved to win.

Congrats to the Tigers, and I hope to be seeing them play in St. Paul (unfortunately on TV and not in person).

I'm a BC fan, too, and I'll be the first to say that they deserved the outcome they got last night. Three hit posts? That would have made it 8-7...big deal.

As the game wore on, I glanced over at the big 2010 NCAA Championship banner hanging on the wall of my TV man-cave. The more I glanced, the more I could accept last night.

In the end, we love college hockey simply because of results like these...not in spite of them.

Tiny Colorado College ought to roll over mighty Michigan today.

congrats to CC on your fantastic win last night . i was a little leery going into last nights game and those thoughts were proven valid. it is a rare occasion that anyone does that to Boston College and you guys did. Best of luck tonight against another great team, should be some game:)

Re: NCAA West Regional - 3/25, 3/26 - BC, Michigan, UNO, CC

Congrats to CC on a great win. You beat us handily at our own game. Keep up that intensity the rest of the way and I can see the Tigers hoisting a trophy in 2 weeks. Good luck the rest of the way.

Re: NCAA West Regional - 3/25, 3/26 - BC, Michigan, UNO, CC

My main gripe with the Michigan OT goal is that there have been MANY instances over the years where it was pretty obvious the puck was probably in the net, but there was no video evidence of it, so it was no goal. I'm willing to admit the puck was probably in the net last night, but I've yet to see anything (the grainy pictures from 200 feet away are NOT conclusive, at least the ones I've seen...) that shows it was actually in. And do we know what angle(s) the refs used to make their final decision? It just seems to me they decided to change the way they judge goals last night.

Look, I hate the Gophers probably more than anyone ever has or will. But that's a really tired rip and weak sauce.

Let's all quit bickering about the "goal" and give CC some well deserved attention. Good job.

Re: NCAA West Regional - 3/25, 3/26 - BC, Michigan, UNO, CC

I'm surprised he hasn't pulled out "9>5" yet.

Anyone else think UMICH is just UMICHhockeyRULZ in disguise? One seemed to disappear before the redesign and the other surfaced shortly afterwards. They seem to have a lot of similarities in their posts, a lot of juvenile chest-thumping and bragging that generally doesn't fit with most of the UM posters on this forum. RULZ has been suspended/banned in the past, but maybe he was too stupid to figure out that doesn't last forever for most of the offenders.

Re: NCAA West Regional - 3/25, 3/26 - BC, Michigan, UNO, CC

hey all the ref had to do was go i intended to blow the whistle play is stopped and a face off to the left of the UNO goalie. How many times do you see a ref stop play with the puck sitting in the clear?

Silly Mav fan...nobody ever told you the internets were created simply so we had a place TO bicker, did they?
