NCAA Hockey - 2023/24 **Insert Witty Tagline**

The problem I see is there are some schools it is hard to get to/from commercially on short notice. Also some schools likely have events already lined up at their rink that weekend so that could be an issue too.

The NCAA manages to get everyone to schools from Dallas to Buies Creek, NC for every sport minus men’s basketball to host tournament games. I’m sure they can find a way to get a hockey team to Orono in four days.

Yup, teams in Alaska and Hawaii host regionals at the DII level all the time.

Missouri region gets Michigan State vs Western Michigan and North Dakota vs Michigan. 2,500 seats in St Louis for two games with those fan bases. They'd get at least 18,500 for those two separately at the higher seed's rinks.

At the very least there's an arena literally across the river that holds 10,000.

Wasn't the last St. Louis Regonal light, even by "Friends & Family" standards?

I get UND will travel along with some Michigan people, but will 2,500 be that short on capacity?

The NCAA has been doing a lot of charter flights lately. So, it's much easier. From what I'm hearing, RIT is going to charter flight it to St. Louis.

BC would have no problem with any of the other 3.

Sure. Just like Minnesota had no issues with Yale or Holy Cross and Mankato had no problem with whomever took a shit on their season.

it's the playoffs. It's hockey. The other three teams aren't push overs.

I fully acknowledge there have and will be upsets. That doesn't mean every match-up is going to be a stress test. I just don't see it here as this BC team to me doesn't have the same warts UM had when they played HC and Yale.

I figure BC to win it all, but did anyone really question Minnesota's chances in 2006 or 2013? I think the one thing this tournament has shown is not only are there no sure bets, sometimes there aren't even GOOD bets. Its what makes it so entertaining. And while I am pretty much an advocate of returning to campus hosts for the first round, one thing that will probably do is make the tourney a little more predictable.

There were Gophers fans that recognized those teams had flaws.

Again it's not that upsets don't happen, and BC is a young team so there is that. But from as much as I know from afar about the 4 teams in that regional it feels as good of a lock as any. Yes in a one and done, etc., etc., etc. It's just mho that none of those 3 are good enough to give BC trouble barring something going wrong. If I had to pick one lock of the 4 regions that is the one I pick.

Stub hub has Missouri regional tickets for $900 a ticket.

splendid, what an experience for all

Maybe this will be what breaks the camel's back on the neutral site system. Lots of big name programs that can't be happy.

Denver and BU are already mad about getting shipped away from home and likely end up playing "road" games against the host. Now you've got a regional leaving up to 25k seats on the table.
