Re: National Championship: Union vs. Minnesota (Choaches stay out of it!)
This cuts the other way, of course. It means whenever the ECAC has a great team making moves in the tourney they invariably run into Minnesota. Hence, even though Minnesota has lost the 4 finals they have played against ECAC teams, those 4 teams were all different. The Gophers were the constant. And indeed Minnesota has won (5) just two fewer NCAA titles than the 12 current members of the ECAC (7), and just 4 fewer than the number won by ECAC members at the time of their inclusion in the conference (9).
Yay, that's three in the title game and Yale last year on their way to an amazing title run. Wheeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee.
