Movies: Poor Things, Barbie and Oppenheimer are stuck in La La Land

In a surprising contrast to other movies (looking at you That Thing You Do!), Empire Records is available on multiple streaming services so I was able to celebrate Rex Manning Day in style.
 
Maybe I need to watch it again but as opposed to High Fidelity my memories of Empire Records are not very positive.

It's a classic. Not a great film by any means, but it's just fun.

In other fun connections, the guy who played Lucas was also the long haired stoner kid in Dazed and Confused.

Attempted to watch Moulin Rouge.

Maybe i got older, but unlike when it first came out, i couldn't make it through the first 20 minutes.
