What's with you an Keanu trilogies?

After seeing the first movie in any trilogy that is great you ask yourself what do I want out of a sequel. What is good enough to be worth expanding this universe. In the Matrix that was the second one for me. With John Wick that was the 3rd one for me. In both cases those movies made the trilogy aspect of it worth it. For many, I'm sure, one movie would have been enough.

For the Taken trilogy the first one is clearly the superior movie. The second one is a complete dumpster. The third one is, meh, ok.

I never saw Taken 3.

John Wick 3 is fine...the fights are fun as hell. Story was ok. I got out of it exactly what I wanted so I have no issues with it.

Someone pointed out that with the first Matrix the secret to getting Neo to become The One was to turn him off and back on and now I can't not view it that way.

I FF through all of the fight sequences in all of the JW movies. They are boring.

If you aren't watching the fights why and the sweet hell would you watch a John Wick film? I mean the acting is ok I guess but the story is beyond cliche. The fights are what make it fun.

That is like saying you fast forward through the car chases in Fast and Furious films...

Its true...he even makes a sound like he rebooted! I can't believe I never put that together!

The Many Saints of Newark was almost good. God it came so close.

Instead it was just "who could play the characters from the best?" The only compelling character was Tony.

I'd be willing to bet that movie would have been good if it were two hours longer.
